WELCOME TO THE MARVEL MULTIVERSE -*RIP STAN LEE & Boseman* - Agatha All Along new ep every Wednesday

I've always said the first half of spiderman 3 was on it's way to being classic and literally falls apart after his first fight with sandman after he says the line "Where do all these guys come from?" the movie isn't worth watching.
I enjoyed that first fight and the fight with Harry with Peter in his regular clothes

I remember watching Spiderman 3 in theaters and just being in awe at the sandman scenes. When Harry puts heat on his arm and it turns into glass :eek

But talk about a film that has aged terribly, Spiderman 3 takes the cake. All of the Raimi films are trash now truth be told but Spiderman 3 is the most fun out of the first trilogy. Spiderman 2 is supremely overrated and Spiderman 1 is fun to watch from time to time to see how far the superhero genre has come but William Dafoe is so cringe worthy in that film it's uncomfortable. From his weird stance on the table when he comes out of the chamber after he goes insane to his infamous "FINISH IT, FINISH IT" :lol I also randomly blurt out "God's speed Spiderman" in a William Dafoe-esque voice all the time in random places :lol

Jeph Loeb acknowledges that bridges are being made between the Fox and Disney world's of Marvel's @LegionFX- DR

I was watching a vid on youtube about how marvel comics are killing off the xmen. It's an exaggeration but they talked about how they have less releases than ever before and how the inhuman mist sterilizes and kills mutants. One of the former xmen writers said marvel told him not to create any new mutant characters.

while they are doing it at this point and promoting the inhimans as the new "mutants" in a few years they'll bring mutants back as this is what comics tend to do

I think it's just more Disney letting fox make more Xmen tv shows( outside of legion)
Word. Jeph Loeb is just the head of Marvel tv which is still under Ike's control so he is obviously playing this.

The movies headed by Feige are still not even crossing over movie and tv characters back and forth, usually just in one direction.
But what does Marvel get out of the deal?
Money? :lol 8o

Terrigen mists killing mutants is an in universe story. Before that one of "their own" killed/empowered a whole bunch of mutants. Either way something would be killing mutants.

Now on the publishing side, the X-books have been watered down with the amount of books they kept making. Had anywhere from 5 or 6 team books and 3 solo books That would end up getting cancelled. That franchise can only hold down one character with a solo book (Wolverine; anyone apparently). They cut things down to 3 team books and 2 solo books (both of which being a Wolverine character).

That's (and the F4 hiatus much like the Thor one) opened things up for the rest of their line to pursue other creative endeavors in their publishing line.

What many fans are really complaining about is that Marvel is no longer feeding their entitlement and catering just to them with the direction they're taking all of their books. They're no longer the only fan base to keep in mind. So then the conspiracy theories begin.

I don't know about all that now, but the scene where Sandman reformed was definitely great

Music was perfectly in tune with the visuals. The way it was seeing his daughter's picture and remembering her illness that helped him to properly reform? :smokin

Well it's not a total exaggeration, since the Mutants are definitely being killed off in-story :lol It's just the result of the Terrigen Mists. Now whether or not this will all end with all the Mutants dead is still up in the air.

Generally seems to be agreed among fans that the franchise is far from its heyday at this point.

Just finished Luke Cage and man...that is EXACTLY what the X-men movies should have been about. The reason why X-men was so great was that they consistently dealt with social issues of the time. Racism, equality, social justice etc...Luke Cage covered that beautifully. X-men was also supposed to be about the younger generation being taught and mentored to adapt to today's struggles.

X-men lost track of that a long time ago.

Funny that you mention this, because I was thinking of the exact same thing earlier today when I was looking over a timeline of the X-Men's history. Definitely something the films never really managed to capitalize on. They gave you like 1 or 2 scenes every now and again of some teens in a classroom, but barely ever made any of them a focus or into notable characters. Just one more reason why a New Mutants film is needed.

Exactly! Glad I'm not the only one.

Driving back from the strange footage preview
Wtf did I just watch, and I mean that in the best possible way

Enlighten us with more details, fam

Of course
it's in the spoiler and I also want to say they showed Stan Lee's cameo so if you don't want to know that don't click as well.
Please bear with me and this explanation also. I know the bare minimum about this character and ALOT of this is extremely hard to explain.
To put it into perspective I went to the GOTG 17 minute preview and new nothing of the characters but it was easy to detail as it was the prison break scene....The stuff they showed for this was well....strange.....mind blowing and trippy, I've never ever recommended a movie in 3D let alone IMAX but this is the movie to see it. I'm still catching my breath from the visuals.

Cumberbatch opens the footage thanking everyone saying how excited he is to be a part of the MCU and how over an hour of the film was shot and formatted using IMAX cameras.

We then get that Trippy pschedelic Marvel Logo that opens the trailer and we see strange and Mcadams character walking through a hospital exchanging banter. She's trying to get Strange to move to the ER and strange says there's no glam in it and what good is it if he saves a junkie with a gun bullet in his body with no audience. She then brings up a coworker and Strange asks if they're dating and she says "no, I call it the Strange rule" he says "I'm glad something is named after me." He then events her to some speaking engagement he's doing, she declines, He says "it's not even about me" she says "it's always about you." we then see shots of Strange getting ready and speeds off in his car. While driving he gets called by the Hospital and he says "what do you got for me?" the nurse(or whoever) names 3 different people needing operations I'm 100% sure they are all easter eggs but the only one that stood out was a 38 yr old male who was injured in an armor suit, major damage to his spine(Rhodey) While he's looking at x-rays in a monitor in his car he crashes, rather epically and in a slow motion/ bullet time type shot we see his hands go through the dash, cars flipped and we see a shot of strange upside down, face pretty bruised up.

We then get a montage of Strange walking around Tibet(I honestly don't know but thats in the trailers) He then walks into a temple to meet Tilda Swintons character, she shows him a picture from a book(looks like a buddha, karma sutra type painting to which Strange scoffs and says "you're showing me pictures they sell in gift shops" Swinton "goes on to say "I teach how to exist between the physical and astrophysical world" strange scoffs again turns his back and says something like "I spent my last dollar to get here and this is all you have for me?" he then goes to touch her and she hits his soul out of his physical body(also in trailers) his soul returns and he's like "what was in that tea LSD??" and Swinton says "no green tea....with honey"

now here's where it gets crazy , she touches his forehead and sends him flying through an astroplane(seen in the trailers but not like this) they just show him hurling through time and space in the trippiest way. you hear a voiceover convo between swinton and her assistant and he says something like "his heart rate is going through the charts" and almost seemlessly strange falls back into the room he's in . swinton looks at him and says "he seems fine to me" and sends him off again, this time he enters different trippy rooms, the only one I can remember is one with just arms and hands and they grab strange as he flies in, then they grab his eye and the camera pans into his eye as it's peeled back by the hands and he's flying through the Astro plane again, this lasted for a good 3 minutes :eek THE VISUALS ARE INSANE.:eek he finally lands back in the temple and Swinton says "They sell that in a gift shop?" (BiGGEST laughs ever) Strange then does the falling to his knees and says "teach me"

She says she has to as there are people looking to take over the world(montage of Maks middleson and his henchmen using different mystic powers) and while the avengers protect the physical world they need to protect the spiritual astroplane interdimensional aspect of things. We see Strange meet Wong in what appears to be a library for the first time and strange goes "so it's just Wong?" like one word?? like Adele?? Bono?? Eminem?? " Wong says "if any of these books are stolen I'll know before you take it and I'll end you(something like that) Strange says something like "well what about late fees?"
After that it gets kinda foggy( that astroplane stuff was pretty nuts, I can't emphasize that enough) we get shots of strange honing his mystical abilities and maks character manipulating realities
Another shot that stood out was an inception style shot on steroids in which strange and his side kick are running until maks splits up the city into 4 different realities/cities(think that's in the trailer) but they end up falling through and it looked awesome. They end up slamming into a bus and guess who is onboard, Stan Lee who is reading a magazine with headphones on and says "that's hilarious" and laughs.
There's more but I need to sleep lol I'll update this as I remember more, there was alot to process. One guy said he dares anyone to take a shrooms before watching this film, the entire theater was Rollin :lol
