I think tony takes the shield/coulson mentorship part of things and helps him out with tech
Notice how surprised he was about the web shooter in the after credit.. Shield gives him them in ultimate Spiderman, if I remember correctly

I would really enjoy watching Captain America trying to go up against Thanos.
Meh. It wasn't bad it was just so so IMO. Not a fan of the weakening of Spider Man, Iron Man and Black panther just to give Cap and Bucky a fighting chance. I thought Ant Man was done well and the growing part was a surprise. But I really felt that Cap needed to mind his business between Bucky and Tony. I understand before the parent killing stuff came to light, but you gotta let those guys handle that. And if Bucky does, he dies

The signal was something he used in the early comics to display before he appeared to have bad guys shook. The significance is the fact that this is THE REAL spiderman. No incarnation of him on film ever made mention to a spider signal. Just like his eyes emoting, it's vintage spiderman

In the 60s Lee/Ditko run it was basically just something for him to let the bad guys know he was there.
I doubt it sees any use outside of the CW post credits scene. It's a pretty useless concept.
But since he's being financed by Stark I expect this Spidey to be more high-tech in general

Yup. Basically Marvel collects from the merchandising money and the box office boost that Spidey brings and Sony theoretically collects from the boost that marvel cameos in the Spidey world will bring.
