Was MJ an average athlete??

Look at the level of competition in the 70s & i doubt he wouldve played all those yrs in the 80s if he wasnt teammates with magic & worthy

He wasnt even a 20 & 10 player during magic & worthys prime
Kareem played 20 seasons. Drafted in 69 retires in 89. Dude averaged over 20 ppg every single year until he was 39 years old and averaged 17 ppg. Kareem averaged 25, 26, 24, 22, 22, 22, and 23 ppg respectively with the Lakers, from the 79-80(Magic Rookie Season) through 85-86 season.

20 & 10 player for 12 seasons just like hakeem & shaq did it for 13 straight seasons

I wouldnt call him the greatest center of all time because hes #1 on the scoring list
I wasnt calling him the best center. Although it's hard to argue he's not. I have him and Shaq 1 and 2. I was just stating that Kareem did dominate in the NBA just as Shaq did. Nobody could block his sky hook then and nobody could block that shot now. We already had this conversation a few pages back on the top centers. Feel like we should discuss who is the best PF ever or something. Top PFs (since the 80s) Malone, Barkley, Mchale, Duncan, KG, Dirk, Rodman.

How about 5 mvps, 10 finals appearances, 6 championships, greatest college player of all time, ect...

Kareem won a ring and got finals mvp in his 2nd year in the league playing for the Bucks and averaged 31 ppg leading the league.

Shaq aint in the league right now and hasn't been that Shaq for a while now. But in his day sure Shaq would have dominated. Hakeem dominated Shaq in the finals. Kareem is #1 all time scorer.

Stop it man. He aint' "dominate" **** against shaq.

The Rockets were clearly the better team, but Shaq played Hakeem almost to a draw that series. I don't have the series numbers in front of me exactly, but there's nothing to suggest Hakeem Dominated shaq. I don't even know where people get that from :lol Diesel wasn't even in his prime and put up 29 and 13 with 3 blocks, almost 7 dimes and was almost 60% from the field in that series.

5 rings & only 2 finals mvps = magics sidekick

Hakeem is the greatest center, kareem just had a better career

Barkley is the best pf, td just had a better career, dude was only 6'4 :{ imagine if he was 6'9

He got 5 rings, and 2 finals MVPs and he was A SIDEKICK???? Jesus Chris man.

And got swept too. And that Orlando team was loaded. Penny, Nick Anderson, Dennis Scott. Hakeem had a 34 year old past his prime Clyde Drexler and a bunch of role players.

What is your point? You said Shaq got dominated by Hakeem. How did that happen?

Orlando may have been "loaded," but they obviously weren't as good as the Rockets that year. But Shaq and Hakeem played each other to a draw, and diesel wasn't even in his prime yet. Where do people get that Shaq was dominated by Akeem' from man :lol

Watch "Olajuwon (35pts/16rebs/6asts/3stls) vs. Shaq (25pts/12rebs/4blks) ('95 F..." on YouTube

Hakeem won 2 rings without a teammate of the level of a Penny Hardaway, Kobe Bryant, and Dwayne Wade As Shaq had.

Hakeem had Drexler for his second title, who was an all star player in his own right, plus they had shooters on that squad that could hit the 3 at any point of the game like Robert Horry.

Yes I know who was on that Rockets team. I watched it When it happened. And I already posted on it. Let's not act like Clyde at 33 years old was as good a player as Penny Hardaway was at age 24 in 1995.

Penny was younger at that stage, so he naturally had more athleticism than Drex. But Clyde had more experience than Penny did as well, and Clyde wasn't exactly putting up terrible numbers either.

Average athletes don't average 37 a game without taking three pointers.

That was Penny's 2nd year in the league. He was not better than Clyde at that point. Clyde was still capable of playing 37-40 mpg & give you big-time production. He wasn't even close to being washed.

Bruh,

Cylde at 33 better than every SF right now besides Melo, LBJ, and KD and was a legit second option

Penny put up the best numbers of his career that year they made the finals. 21ppg 7apg 4rpg. Only to be matched next year by putting up the same numbers 22ppg 7apg 4rpg, next year got hurt still managed to put up 20ppg 6rpg 5apg. Never put up more than 16ppg 6apg for the rest of his career. Those first 3 years in Orlando was Pennys prime. I guess a 32 year old Clyde was better tho. Dude retired couple years later at age 35. Not disrespecting Clyde at all but he had seen his better days. Dude is top 50 all time. Dream Team bonafide.
