T-Mobile now has family plan with 4 lines... Unlimited talk, text & data for $150
Right now I have unlimited talk text and 10 Gb per line for 120. Idk what I would do with unlimited but that's a great deal.

If only they could improve the coverage man.

I'm at unlimited talk/text and 5GB with AT&T for $50 a month with my family plan (includes phone payments)

Used to have T-Mobile and the signal for AT&T is much better in buildings. Speed wise I think T-Mobile is slightly faster though

Sheesh I don't know how y'all do these data limits, can't imagine not having unlimited. I go through 20 GB+ easy every month.

Doing what though? Even with league pass I don't Crack 10gb most months.

If I got unlimited it would allow me to turn off binge on with their throttling nonsense.

Smartphones cannot be my main device for entertainment or even business. I have an iPad Air 2 and a Surface for all of the real work and play. 20GB of data most likely means streaming constantly, no way I'm watching that much video content on a small screen. To each their own though everyone different.

Mark my words peeps...the next huge leap in smartphones and mobile devices is going to be the result of a material called Graphene. You can look it up.

While i was at Texas A&M one of the things I did was career and resume consulting...and one of my clients was a new PhD graduate whose dissertation and project was graphene based nanocomposites. Intel was recruiting her hard, but she decided to do a PostDoc. Anyway i learned a lot from talking with her and did some fact finding of my own.

It will be used for unbreakable screens and battery technology since it's a superconductor with dam near zero resistance.

Better tech is on the way. 2020-2022, watch what I tell y'all.

Oh most definitely Yeah. Graphene has so many uses and so many industries where it will be applied once the scientists figure exactly how to implement it. Of course at first it will be cost prohibitive for most consumer based applications but the economy of scale will deal with that.

In that case, where do I buy stock? :lol

When i was on Sprint I felt the same way, went over to Verizon with 18gbs to use a month and we might crack 15. Only thing that could cause me to use more would be hotspot usage but I don't use that much unless it's close to the end of my cycle and I got a few gigs to burn.

I know I'm late but what's good with Google fi 8o. Just signed up hoping to get that invite soon and start living that nexus 6p life

Uses Sprint and T-Mo networks so it should be pretty solid. It's a great service if you don't use a lot of data. Only drawback is that it's only offered on the most recent Nexus Phones.

I've actually been rolling with no service and just Google voice for a minute now so it's perfect for me :lol. I don't mind nexus only since I've been reading up on them and they seem legit. Do you have the service? How long does it usually take for an invite once you sign up

Nah, I don't have it. And I don't have a problem w/ Nexus phones, I actually love Nexus phones, but for people who are trying to lower their bill, they have to tack on an extra $20+ w/ the service. If they could bring their own unlocked smartphone to Project Fi, they'd be more inclined to choose them over another carrier.

My friend uses it now, $10/GB can add up extremely quickly.

Yea, that's why I said it's a great alternative for those that don't use a lot of data. If you use more than 5gb/mo, you might as well go to T-mobile.

That we can agree on, when they get to $5/GB I'll reconsider them

Between Netflix, Hulu, Watch ESPN for NBA, CFB, CBB and watching as many Laker games as I can that data goes quick. Have a lot of idle time at work most nights.

brahs,

I already have a gmail account.

My question is: How can I get a google voice number with a local area code from my main gmail account without it picking up my phone number?

Thanks in advance

goto google voice.com, sign up for a number and type in the area code you want.. it'll show you options that meet your search criteria

Which is why I'm fine with my next phone (likely S7) not having Type C. Gonna let things run its course and hop it once things have been hashed out.
