Phone innovation has really slowed down huh? :lol
:lol I was thinking the same thing.

if you're not going to change a damn thing about your phone other than some minor specs, don't hold a huge press release and create all this hype.

I understand phones won't get reinvented every year. so do what car manufacturers do. make an overhaul every 2 or 3 years. for the in between years just release an upgrade of the previous version without any hoopla.

ive been a loyal HTC user (evo, evo 3d, evo 4g lte, m7) and that keynote was absolutely terrible. im very dissapointed as I was looking forward to upgrading to the M9 from my M7 but now I am having serious second thoughts after seeing the reviews about the rear camera being so poor yet again. my m7 is on its last legs and I don't even know what device to look at now. perhaps the note 4. I was even thinking possibly an iphone 6 plus just to give an iphone a try for the first time, but that $400 + tax upgrade price turned me off instantly. :{

Yep.  We are getting to the point where we are reaching the limits of the current technology.  Manufacturers are actually holding some things back just so that they will be able to have something to show the next year.

.  Wait on reviews of the actual retail devices before you make a judgement though.  All pre-release devices have had quirks that had to be worked out (G3, Note 3 &4, S5, etc).

^Youre right man. It just sucks that they had that huge build up all last month saying "we've got something huge coming", etc etc and THAT was what we got. Yeah, the reviewers ive seen have all said theyre not final release models yet so hopefully htc can fix the camera issues within the next 2 weeks. im just baffled at how little of the specifics they mentioned. Didnt talk about screen size, sd card slot, pricepoint. I'm sure there's more but yeah. Not to mention the fact they kept having the asian guy speak and you could barely understand a word he was saying. Just bad all around, here's to hoping the final phone performance can make us forget about that.

But they could at least do something different. As corny as some of Samsung's early features were at least it was kinda cool that you could do it and it was something that hadn't really been done before. Or even phones that were waterproof. If you're Not gonna bring anything new to the table at give it a big *** battery or 128GB of storage. But to just rehash the same phone with only slightly updated specs....weak.

I hope you Jabronis are happy...all that complaining about Samsung not having "good build quality" has destroyed them. Build quality is a dumb as hell argument. Now no more removable cover and SD slot. Can't have nothing nice :{

Now we get to see HTC receive the same hate that Samsung received when the S3 and S4 were dam near identical. HTC One design is stale.
