^ I also like it because you can use the headphone's call button to pause and forward music.

Another good music player app is Cubed. the UI is nice and also has a lock screen widget, and it's free.

I haven't payed for Mixzing yet but I'm on the fence due to the edit tags feature. The stock player is nice though, just wished it had a few more features and headset control.

I'm on Verizon so i'm waiting on the iPhone...I'm over this 'Berry.

i was about to get the Incredible...then the Droid X...then the Droid 2...now I hear about the Droid Pro...and then theres a HTC Sense Android phone with possibly a 2.0Ghz processor on the timeline...

So what that new phones are coming out every day? It's not like the phone you get will be obsolete when the next phone comes out. My G1 was still kicking with an overclocked ROM and Froyo 2.2 and its been almost 2 years since I got it. The great thing about Android is that there are new phones coming out all the time. It gives you options, unlike the iPhone. If you don't like making a decision for yourself and have a company do that for you, then the iPhone is for you.

Good thread...

one thing that irks me though is the confusion between droid and android...
android is the OS..
droid is verizon's branding for their android phones...

i jumped on the android bandwagon early with the G1 and upgraded earlier this year to the Nexus one...
if i didn't have the nexus one i'd be all over the samsung vibrant...

also i posted in the other thread of rumors of a Sony Ericsson Playstation Phone that is running Android 3.0(gingerbread)
-supposedly it's already in late stages of develoment... however, no further news has come about since the original posting last week
-i will likely switch carriers if the phone is for real...

some must have apps IMO
TweetDeck - find it on http://blogs.tweetdeck.com (it links to your facebook, twitter, foursquare and buzz accounts, letting you update all from one app)
tumblr - just released lets you upload pics, videos etc to tumblr...
tikl - push to talk app (works over wifi or 3g- talk to anyone who has the app free)
Bank of America - if you have a BofA account easy way to make transfers and check your balance and such...
NewsRob - to check up on all your RSS feeds
WordFeud - mentioned before but good multiplayer scrabble game for android finally
Vonage for Facebook - call your facebook friends who have this app (works cross platform between iOS and android devices) all for free VoIP

How to Play Emulators in Android.

Download any Emulator. There's plenty on the market. My favorite is SNESoid Lite...Its free. And it works.

Download the game Rom from a site like http://www.doperoms.com/

The list for different systems is on the left hand side.

Just search a game. Download the file. Make a Snes Roms, Genesis Roms, (or whatever) Roms folder in your SD Card.

Copy and paste it fully as it was downloaded (aka DON'T UNZIP IT...DON'T UNZIP IT...One last time....DON'T UNZIP IT! ) into that folder.

When you open up the Emulator app just locate the Rom folder and you're good to go.

There's apps that let you use wireless Wii controller as the controller. Good for NES games. Dunno the name for it...Just search it.

For the OG Droid there's the Game Gripper. You can read about it here. I got it for my homegirl...She loves it.

Ummm. Yea...That's all I have...
