Check your local craiglist for people that repair phones, itd cost $30-50.

Some places in store are selling the G2x Sunday.

...anyway, I was able to try that Sprint’s Kyocera Echo but it was a dummy version so it didn't turn on, but holding it in my hand and playing the hinge its actually feels like a premium device not like some plasticy samsung phone, and the hinge is really sturdy and feels like it will take some for you break the hinge

, i want to see how the software works on it though.
Samsung Galaxy S Official Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread Hits Some KIES
Many of you out there using the Samsung Galaxy S will be happy to find out that the wait for Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread for your smartphone is over -- or at least it will be soon when the Gingerbread update hits your KIES software.

Google Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread with baseband version I9000XXJVK, build number GINGERBREAD.XWJVB and build date of April 8 has surfaced in some KIES softwares according to reports. Samsung has had a little bit of trouble updating all the Galaxy S smartphones to Froyo -- especially the carrier variants -- but we hope they will overcome the obstacles with Gingerbread as there were already some delays in the updating process.

If you're in a region that got the update and have successfully applied the refresh, let us know of your findings in the comments below.

Update: So far reports of sightings are coming in from the Nordic countries, Germany plus Australia and, unless Samsung pulls the update -- which we've seen before and pray will not happen -- the roll-out process will continue to expand to other regions too.

Minneapolis /St Paul heads. What phone company do you have? My data coverage is good in Minneapolis but as soon as I hit St Paul for work I only have edge. I asked t mobile what the deal is and they said their coverage in St Paul isn't that advanced. Well my patience isn't that advanced.so I'm leaving them. This isn't 2005. How are you gonna have spotty data for like a few million people?

.

I'm leaning towards the evo 3d or thunderbolt. Is Verizon or sprint better in the twin cities?

People with the cm7 rom, how ya'll like it? Thinking about flashing it on but can someone explain to me on how to do a titanium backup?

Are there are custom Sense-based ROMs out there running Gingerbread?
I'm on Frost right now, running 2.2.
