Sorta agree, if it's $400 it's definitely a wrap. As it is now 6P has some buzz and it'll sell at this price point. No doubt.

$2+free shipping cases on Amazon for the 6P and 5X for those who are interested.

It's actually Gorilla Glass 4.
"Too much metal could mean WiFi, cellular or NFC signals get snuffed out, so Google and Huawei shoehorned a bunch of them behind that black plastic bar"

We got this information directly from Google, from a person working on the design of both Nexus devices, so it's legit. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the story of the Nexus 6P's big, black bar (which is made of Gorilla Glass 4, by the way).
Conflicting reports.  I'd believe Android Police though.

I already made the jump :lol

Let me know how you like the 6p it looks legit...

Who knew huawei would come this hard :lol easily the best nexus phone

Got both a Project Fi and OnePlus 2 invite today.

I really like the 6P. I'm just gonna wait for the early adopters in case there's any bugs or issues and get it in a few months. Learned my lesson from getting the Nexus 5 on release day and having annoying loose power buttons on the first phone I got and the brand new replacement they sent me.

This OPO will hold me over just fine for another 3-4 months at least. Then I think I'll be moving on from t-mobile and getting that Project Fi since I'm on wifi at work and home and don't go over 2GB anyways. 32GB in that steel color will do me just fine since a Moto X Pure in 32GB with the champagne accents and cognac leather woulda cost me $475 anyways...

6P is flames. waiting on the MKBHD vid, but this is looking like my next cop.

i think samsung is leaving the note 4 behind....

what do you mean by the note 4 comment?

i get the feeling samsung, in order to keep up and be competitive, it will focus more software engineering on its latest and greatest. note 5 came really soon imo. they threw better camera software at it, fingerprint is tap to unlock (not sure if software or hardware), the home double tap to camera, and 5.1.1 out the door. they are gonna focus on their latest and greatest to compete with the apple and the note 4 will just sit tight with 5.0.1 and won't get added features. and in 10 months time the note 6 will be out or some ****.

note 4 is dead.

its clear samsung is playing catchup phone wise. they make great hardware. if samsung truly wanted to compete, they need to be doing what motorola is doing. making low cost high spec phones with nearly stock android, and everyday features that consumers want..and then market the **** out of it. apple charges too much for their phones because people will pay for it...thats called brand loyalty. samsung can't expect to sell their top phones at the same price and move numbers like that, especially with such short lifespans.

apple has another advantage in the sense that they release software direct to consumers and therefore can engineer a version of iOS that encompasses multiple generations, and update it all in one go. can't do that with android unless you are nexus (more or less)

and that is the beauty of nexus. even now google is putting out android that works all the way back to the nexus 4. even as improved as motorola is, they struggled with that 5.1 for first gen moto x. but with google and their own phones, its all good.

i still owe money on this note 4, but later this year i hope to make flip, take a loss on the note and grab the 6P.

a nexus phone with the biggest battery on a smartphone and type c? premium finish with top specs and priced significantly lower than iphone? sheeeeeeeeiiit. hopefully gold comes to the U.S. by winter.

its w.e. to me

MKBHD mentioned the 6P having soft-touch finish (like the 5).  I know it's a small detail, but that makes me so damn happy.

As soon as that Pixel C drops and I receive my new Nexus phones, I'll give my Moto X Pure, Nexus 6 and 9 away here.

Wonder how that works with an aluminum body. Sounds like it'll help with grip so I'm all for it.

Yea I'd definitely wait for real-world reviews before making judgment. I think I can make out a tripod off the reflections in the yarn shot.

Just switched colors on the 6P pre-order about 3x. Settled on Frost White.

I was thinking of doing the same

Now that I've seen the hands-on pictures and videos of the graphite, I'm not so sure I want to stick with my order. The finish looks weird, kinda like skateboard grip tape or truck bed liner

The white looks really handsome with the mirror-finish trim. Just wish the 32GB option was available.
