I have still never seen someone use a N6 in real life. I hope they learned from the huge size and price jump from the N5

If they price it like that it's pointless to even make these devices. Motorola will eat them alive

Saw it a couple of times in the wild. Always thought the size complaint was overblown. Please let that new N6 be in 450-500 range.

The Verge seems impressed with the Moto Play's camera

http://www.theverge.com/2015/8/24/9198069/moto-x-play-camera-preview

This year, however, Moto promised — nay, guaranteed  — that things would be different as it introduced a new 21-megapixel camera in its top-tier Moto X Style / Pure and Moto X Play devices. Having spent a day shooting with this new camera, I can say with certainty that this is indeed the best imaging equipment to have ever made its way inside a Moto smartphone. It's too soon to pass sound judgment on how it compares against the leaders in the field — like Samsung's Galaxy S6 series, LG's G4, and Apple's iPhone 6 — but the very fact these new Moto Xs are even in the conversation is a remarkable advance for Motorola.
Like I've said before, Moto doesn't need it to be the best camera, just an improved and good one will satisfy a lot of complaints.

The nexus devices will always have a niche following in the android sphere no matter what the price. However if they price them at too high a price, prepaid consumers like me will be more interested in the Motorola Pure

I thought Google always wanted to sell Nexus devices at attractive prices, hence it's partnership with LG for the Nexus 4 and 5. That's why I never upgraded to the Nexus 6, it was too much and a broke boy like myself can't afford that. Since saving paycheque after paycheque I had enough and just copped the Note 5 instead of waiting for the newer Nexus

Google struck a deal with Samsung regarding their implementation of Android on their phones. Soon after Nexus prices rose.

Google cares about software not hardware. I'll be rolling with Motorola if they continue to offer solid phones for a great price. You couldn't purchase a Nexus 6 from the Google store from months. Google can kiss my ***.

I'm more than willing to pay the premium for software updates. Especially if all the rumors about Lenovo gutting out Moto's software dev team. Would prefer not to have some backdoors installed onto my phone.

The original Nexus 4 and 5 were probably subsidized by Google to gain market share over iOS. It wasn't that long ago that Android was the minority in phone OSes.

The front of that Nexus is nice but the back is hideous

This is where I'm at, moto X was a day one cop, but I put the brakes on that. I'll see how this shakes out.

I was waiting for the Samsung A7 for my work phone, but they ran out of stock and gave me a LG G3. Hope the LG experience will be good.

My experience with the G3 has been good asides from the aux cable issue(shouldn't be an issue for you), and not being able to unencrypt my phone. The last one is a biggie for me as I can't root it anymore.

Does Motorola have a big screen close to stock phone?

went to bellevue washington with the kids to visit family... hanging out with the kids at the pool, they wanted me to swim so i jumped in... had my phone in my pocket... :x
stuck it in a bag of rice, everything works good, battery drains a little quicker then it should... but now i cant jump to the note 5 because the white sticker things are red
