If that Moto X and the next Nexus have a GREAT camera I feel like it may be a wrap. Along with battery life.

I dunno man it seems like even though Android keeps getting better and better hardware, and more software features, the issues keep repeating themselves. Like, we are still talking about the same stuff.

And you can't trust them either. You never know when you will get your update through the carrier, and when you do it breaks your joint (sometimes). Or at least changes something about it performance wise. I dunno man. At this point if you aren't messing with a Moto X or a Nexus (5 months into its life) it is really hard IMO to recommend an Android phone to an average consumer.

Take it for what it's worth. Not feeling the power button and volume rocker on the same side

Shape looks generic as ****

700

What changes can be made to the shape of a phone? Aren't they all rectangles with rounded corners cuz that's what makes the most sense for human hands?

Odd complaints aside, looks like there's two openings where the headphone jack can be placed. Hopefully it's on the bottom again but then what's the top opening for? IR blaster?

LOL He might be talking about the cases cause I had the same reaction.

They look genetic as **** ..... LOL

You know damn well you wouldnt buy one of those cases.

If he is talking about the phone, then I don't know .... might just be cause is next to the genetic looking *** cases!

Those are the cases you buy from eBay that take 2 months to be delivered cause there coming straight from china

I'll be happy if that's the Nexus phone for 2015. My N5 is on its dying breath right now

Welp. Never buying another Sammy.

My Note 4 is on some other stuff. Thing doesn't even work. Randomly locks up rendering the home button useless. Loads web pages when it wants. Battery life is poo ughhh. The Note 2 Was The ONLY Sammy I ever owned that didnt get worse everyday I owned it

Seriously thinking about getting that moto x. Looks like a beast for the price.

Anyone have experience with them? Rooting and roming community active?

Textra and Chomp SMS Issue Updates That Could Stop Stagefright Attacks

On Monday, a pretty serious security vulnerability in Android’s Stagefright was exposed, one that has left almost all Android phones susceptible to an attack. Of course, at this time, the vulnerability has been kept under wraps and supposedly only shared with Google and OEMs to hopefully get it patched. Unfortunately, patching Stagefright takes a system update that has yet to arrive on anyone’s phone. In other words, even though the vulnerability is known by Google and they have patched things on their end, we are all potentially open to attacks.

To hopefully help stop attacks, a couple of popular SMS apps on Android have issued updates. Both Textra and Chomp SMS  (apps are owned by the same company) received updates today that attempt to stop video MMS messages from automatically running, which is a part of the issue with this Stagefright exploit. Who knows how successful their tweaks could be with a malicious MMS received, but any attempt by a company to help stop an attack is a good thing in our eyes, especially while we wait what could be months for OEMs and Google to push out patches.

You're not the only one. I HATE this damb phone. I get sick just looking at it :x

4 second wait when you press the recents button, after i take a pic and i want to preview the pic, it goes straight to lockscreen. :{

All the new phones that are out or coming out (S6 Edge plus and Note5) are garbage.

i might have to go to the other side for now.

Anyone agree that Lollipop is the WORST android to date?

Nope. Doing ok for me. Can probably blame Samsung for whatever problems you're having.

Samsung's version of Lollipop is the WORST android to date.

Runs just fine on Nexus. Buttery smooth all over. My only legit complaint is the battery life. But my phone has run out of battery maybe twice in the past year while it seems like a daily occurrence with my friends who have iphones.

I refuse to update to lollipop...especially on this note edge.
Is there anyway to stop the automatic daily prompt to update or do I just have to manually keep changing the time to the next day?
