Just bought a used M8 GPE off of ebay. Finally replacing my Nexus 4
Hopefully we'll see a Nexus 5 refresh this year and I'll sell the M8 for not much loss.

I guess what I'm trying to get at is what could be done with S-Off rather than how to get S-off. Like if I convert to a dev edition, would I still get OTA updates from HTC? And if I do, would I have to continue to upgrade the firmware/radio manually or will it all be done OTA.

Could always just get custom recovery and flash root though, so OTA wouldn't be an issue.
