trying to root my Droid X. i followed the instructions from youtube and this android forum but its not working. it said i was successfully rooted but when i tried to use an app that required rooting it said i wasnt. HELP

I said the same thing too, 4% on the system means he was rarely even using the phone, unless the rom is really that good with handling power. Dudes posting up these Wilt Chamberlain #'s but not post up the details of the game.

cyanogen rom 6.0 with ASOP CM6 KERNEL 7.xx
stock battery 1500mah
set cpu set at 652mhz @ boot/ normal performance
sleep/standby profile mode @ 384mhz
Played music constantly through out the day
Played Need for speed for at least 2 1/2 hrs(intervals)
Surf net the here and there.
light text message and light calling.
Brightness set @ 25%-35%
turn-off 3g when i didn't need it, but left on 2g radio.
Overall didn't get any glitches.
You gotta let people know what handset your using and give a detail report. Every ROM, kernel, CPU Setting, battery pack is different to each user.

After going from the the original mt3g to the slide... I dont think ill ever go back to just all touch screen... Having a QWERTY is no nice

i'm running 1.29 btw no reason for me to upgrade to the newest build my battery life is superb
