Last month, we promised to seed invites to early supporters. We’re in August, and a significant amount of you now have the One.

A hypothesis that we had when starting OnePlus, was that good products would spread on their own via word of mouth. This hypothesis has certainly been validated, and today we see a demand that still keeps growing. Every day, many users will ask us when they’ll receive invites to share.

On our end, we’ve revised further our production targets for August, as we know many are eager to have a One to call their own. At the same time, our current demand situation is many times that of our initial estimations, and we’re having issues with scaling up customer support fast enough. We understand that our current support is far from the seamless experience we designed from the outset, and are working against the clock to improve in this regard. We will pace shipments with our actual customer support situation to try and mitigate the scaling issues.

In terms of invites, this month we’ll start shifting the focus from seeding early members to giving our users the ability to spread the love of the One with their friends and family. Despite focusing on shareable invites, we’re still targeting reaching forum member 100k through early supporter invites late this month.

Looking back at the past few months, the support we’ve received has surpassed our wildest imaginations. Thank you for this. Our road has been a bumpy one, but the issues that we’ve been facing are due to growth rather than stagnation. We still have a long way to go before fulfilling our dreams, and if you think you can lend a hand, please don’t hesitate to visit the careers section of our website and apply.

Finally, I wish you all an amazing late summer, and that you’ll soon receive your One.
Dammit man now I am back to anxiously waiting for this phone again!

Man I've been out of the loop with phones for a minute. Still got the HTC rezound but its getting unbearable to use, missing phone calls, freezing, not turning on, etc. Just wanted to get some opinions on the best Verizon phones out atm and yalls experiences with them. Looks like I'm not gonna be able to avoid getting this new contract either.

That Lenovo looks very nice, I've never heard of them making phones though
...which is why I'm leery. I'm guessing it won't have much in terms of a development community. I'd love to be wrong though. That UI looks too much like TouchWiz

I saw somebody say they were tired of Samsung not really coming out with new features and such and wanted to know, what new features are realistically useful that we don't already have?

I think we have reached the plateau of cell phone features at this point. half the stuff these phones do most people won't even use more than 30 times over the 2 years

I can agree you with you on that one.

I don't need a finger print scanner on my phone or tablet

I don't need my phone to scroll the screen as I read or stay awake as long as I am looking at the screen

As soon as I got my old S4, the first thing I did was root it and remove all of the Samsung bloat and turn all those features/gimmicks off.

I just want a fast processor in the phone, excellent battery, good camera & screen resolution, and in a sturdy elegant feeling body for a phone.

the strangest part is that we were all complacent with cell phones back when you could only make phone calls and play snake on that indestructable Nokia. Makes you wonder what new features and kind of tricks those future phones will have in 10+ years that we don't even think about now

We reached the plateau a couple years ago. That's why I have trouble understanding why so many people hop from phone-to-phone, trying to buy the latest thing.

In many ways, the past 7 years have just been refinements of the original iPhone. The next developments are now dealing with integration -- notifications across devices, casting to TVs, smart watches, etc. These all come down to software improvements. Hardware wise, it's really hard to imagine meaningful change. LTE, screen resolution/quality/size, etc. are done. Better batteries is one area where a meaningful change could come. Cameras will continue to improve incrementally unless some new optics breakthrough is made.

Of course, the crack marketing teams at Apple, Samsung, Lenovo, etc. are thinking of ways to convince you otherwise.

One of the most overrated features that most people put alot of weight in is screen resolution and i'd reckon to say 80% of people couldn't spot the difference in screen resolution from a S5 from a 4S

I luckily "need" a higher resolution screen for my photography so that's one of my deal breakers. but give me solid battery life, fantastic screen, and a superb processor and I'm all good.

Can't wait to see that modular phone

What unread notification app are you guys using? I tried using teslaunread but since I didn't download nova from the playstore it doesn't work. -_-

Samsungs features are crap. Skip all that stuff and give me a bigger battery.

IMO LG has come up with more useful
features like knock code and knock on, every phone should have those. And I like the drop down call notification and that you can copy more than one thing to the clip tray.

Stuff like fingerprint scanners and heartrate monitors I'd never use more than once. I feel like this "prime" phone is an even bigger gimmick. Ooooh it has better build quality. So what. Its got a smaller screen and if you drop it on its edge the screen will still shatter like 90 % of other phones

While the LG has knock on and off which I can't be without. The M8 has knock in can't find knock off but it also has gesture while the phone is off.

Swipe up left right or down it does something different. Pretty cool ...

I haven't used the S5 or finger print joint but I imagen you can use it for anything like password storage. I used to use it on my loptop. It use to skip the inputting name and password and it was very useful.

This new Lenovo phone craps on the One Plus One, and version of the M8, All the Galaxys, and the Zperias. This is the new king of Android...
I see specs, but i dont see how that joint can be said to be "killing" anything.  Show me some real world performance and then I can say that.

It that sense I agree, the issue with the fingerprint scanner is that, to be blunt, it sucks. My mother has a S5 and getting the scanner to recognize your print on any type of consistent basis is damn near impossible.

The knock lock and unlock to me are just as gimmicky too. i have a knock lock app but rarely use it cause my hand lays right on top of the power/lock button and i'd only knock to unlock if my phone is laying on it's back. so for me specifically as useless as the FP scanners

at this point the main upgrades people actually want is the larger more long lasting battery. but people seem to be fine with complaining about subpar batteries with on their 330ppi screens at 100% brightness all day

been dying for the oneplus one. but it still evades me.

any tips or hints how to get an invite (what to do on their forums)? anyone have an invite lol.

Looked at the G3 screen in the store. Thought it was on auto brightness...nope, full brightness. Hit the auto brightness button screen damn near went black.

.....Soo...what's good with the X+1
