Manit looks like my recovery mode was deleted, what the heck I cant find anything on how to correct this

LMAO! This is exactly why I don't bother with this rooting foolishness. I would have never rooted a Nexus anyway. It's stock Android and all of this stress for a 5-10% performance boost is not worth the hassle.

Brah, iphone 5 go get that. Leave the Android hacking to the big boys.

bruh I been rooting for years, its just for Mac its different than when I did it on PC, and you're right I`m gonna go to Tmobile and pick up anther iphone 5 in the AM.

i'm glad. i'd rather have you on team ios and bashing the android than you giving people the false perception that it's really easy to brick a phone.

This device deserves more attention & these bigger companies need to take some notes about updating.

Adaway alone is worth rooting for, especially with nexus devices because they have easy to use toolkits.

yea it was no better same thing pretty much with CM10, compared to when I would root HTC or Samsung devices to go stock and really with launchers its no need, and the reason my phone bricked is because the img file was corrupted so yes it is that easy, smh the toolkit fixed the device.

And like I said... i don't know anything abotu Rooting and Roming. I'm illiterate to this stuff. i don't even know what it does or the benefits..

And not about to fugg up and break my phone trying to do this ish and be stuck with a brick while Im out here in afghan lol

OG OS been getting me by all these years, sighss.
:lol
same here man, I don't know anything about rooting or flashing roms. When it comes to technology in general, I'm pretty much illiterate.

Fellas, how do I get the % of battery remaining icon next to the battery icon on the top right? I have a Nexus 4

Anyone having problems playing vids on chrome? The video plays fine until the playback controls fade away, then the screen goes black and only sound plays. If I tap the screen the vid will show again, but only until the playback controls fade away again. I played a vid in the stock browser and it plays fine. I have an AT&T LG Optimus G.

im done woth chrome. when i browse nt on chrome it feels like i goback in time to a htc touch pro 2.
i used opera for a bit but now im on firefox and it works fine

Im curious as to how your img file got corrupted, never heard of that problem when i had my N4.

Even peeps with a mac didnt have that problem when i had it. Does having a mac make hacking Android that much harder?

From what I seen when I DL files in safari, safari self extracts files which caused issues when I first tried to root then when I used fire fox everything worked perfect this go round for the unroot when I loomed up the error message the only insight I could find is that the file maybe corrupted the actual system image. Idk how I didn't see the initial toolkit because I used the manual step by step process first and ran into the issues. This is just me know android is cool bit I don't have time for all that extra stuff just to root and unroot. With my iPhone a factory reset would take off the jailbreak and I was good. And I'm at the point in my life where I use only a few apps so I don't care about the extra stuff.

I see, i also used the toolkit to do everything. Yeah dude i guess an iPhone is better for you, good thing about the iPhone is like you said a quick restore and you're good to go. Android has Odin to get back to stock but its easier on Apple.

I've been trying out all differently types of browsers... Right now I been rocking with dolphin browser... Seems the smoothest to me... Others were glitch and scrolling was trash

I'm still debating between HTC One and Galaxy S4. Been on HTC Evo for last few years, so used to it, but going to go into stores once sprint has them in stock so I can test them both. Hopefully they don't sell out of either.

No plans to root.

yea i didnt pre order im just gonna wait until its out in stores so the htc one and s4 comparisons come in

I honestly don't see what's so special about the htc one, aside from the elegant design and front facing speakers it seems to perform just like any other phone thats out now.

Lol every phone performs like every phone that's what cats don't get throw a stock launcher on the One and you're money. Only reason to not buy the One is if you dislike the physical design and hardware things like camera and speaker don't satisfy you

so lucky youd go with the one over the s4?

There are two things that matter to me most physical aesthetics and the camera when I looked at camera comparisons the One is Best Low light better than iPhone 5 and the Gs4 still looked washed out to me compared to the One and iPhone the Gs4 camera is better than the Gs3 which I thought was terrible but the iPhone and One still looked better. The build quality of the gs4 is garbage to me I don't want something that looks like a toy. At the end of the day I can put on my life the gs4 will. Form just like the nexus 4 and note 2 besides when doing graphic intensive stuff. The One is the device I would get he only thing that makes it a big iffy is I doubt it gets updates the fact that Verizon isn't gonna carry it (even though they will probably just release their own version later) tells me HTC is still bending over for carriers. Yea you can Root but I feel why should you need to go through all that crap just to enjoy a device.
