Flash the r111 franco kernel with CM10. Been getting pretty good battery life on that. Also if you have some bass intensive headphones (I have souls) here are my dsp manager settings to make your music thump:

this is getting annoying I`m rooted, unlocked but every time I try to flash a rom via CWM recovery from zip it says installation aborted, I factory reset and clean cache and everything smh

try reinstalling CWM from the play store and try again.
what did you use to root & unlock your bootloader? i've never come across that.

what ever tool that is for OSX
CWM is set up as my default recovery mode even when I delete the app is there a way to reverse this

This is why I leave my phones stock. All of that extra stress to make a phone 5-10% better I don't need.

I use to root my phones on my old pc but I sold it so I did it on my MBP I will say jail breaking for iOS was way easier since everything had a GUI and no typing commands and crap

download goomanager from the playstore and then install TWRP..
you wont have any problems flashing roms with TWRP

stick to the iphone brah,
wipe recovery and reflash another
bruh I`m no rookie I know the proceeders joint just dont work, just usually did the root on PC and not OSX so idk if something went wrong during that.
I will try the TWRP thing next
