I don't know if you heard of us or want to hear about us, but me and some friends decided to make a magazine called Vent. It's an Asian AmericanPolitics and Popular Culture magazine. I figure it'd be cool here since we're primarily Norcal based. I hope you guys can all get a chance to checkout, and find out what some Asian American people think about some different issues.
Mission Statement:
Our writing comes from the heart and therefore it uncovers an honest illustration of Asian American identity and politics. Vent is appealingand thought provoking. When you see it lying on your coffee table, you want to read it again or at least store it on your shelf so you can read it later. Ventwants to spearhead our culture into an era where anyone and everyone can have equal access to all sorts of endeavors-not just middle management followed by aglass ceiling. Instead of complaining that there is no American Dream, Vent stands up against the inequality to reclaim what should be accessible to allpeople.

Hopefully you guys will enjoy some of our writing. And plus, you should be happy, I think my "hand" avatar is gone forever.
Edit:
So if you hadn't heard or didn't know, we're having a release party for our third issue. We want people to come out and support us. We'recharging $8 for presales, $10 at the door. Please come out and support your local shoehead and magazine guy. Me. Or support our magazine if you hate me.
Contact me if you're interested in going, and check out our third issue coming out this Thursday!!
