I’m not very good at basketball compared to professional basketball players and i dominated D1 girls team. Helped them practice / scrimmage as a student assistant coach sort of thing and sometimes they’d have me play in their scrimmages. One time they were gonna face a superstar girl in the upcoming game so the coaches asked me to not hold back and try to score every time. I dropped 47 points on them in a half lol. And i’m under 6 feet. The speed and athleticism gap is simply too much. I got to the rim at will and anything i missed i could almost always get the board. And once you are used to that little tiny ball it becomes so easy to shoot tres and palm it like Jordan going in for layups. And this was against one of the best women’s teams in the country with a girl that went on to the WNBA.

it's not just the scoring part, i think the bigger issue is that women are not able to create ANY space on a decent male defender.

In the hierarchy of basketball, pro women are below the average varsity boys team. It sounds like disrespect but it is simply the truth. They are delusional to think their product is anywhere close to pro men.

Yeah I’m serious. I feel like a collection of the best pro female hoopers coold hang with grown men. Maybe not NBA pros but a decent squad of dudes.

Yesterday I was showing my sister the Sha'Carri and Castor Semenya Olympic trials.
Sha'Carri ran a 10.86 in the 100.
Castor ran a 50.42 in the 400.
Good numbers but the fastest dudes in HS would dust them. Kids running 10.3s and 47s on the regular.

What makes WNBA boring? (I don’t watch, so I wouldn’t know) I’ve heard some men say they enjoy watching women basketball.

The women of Troy document was very good. Not sure if it is still up on SHO or wherever it was (hard to keep up with all these streamings), but you should watch it if you can.
There are other women that have dunked in WNBA games but all of the dunks have been, "Rimgrazer off 1" or "Basic Two Handers off 2 (Rarity)."
Dunks don't happen often enough, with enough elevation, for them to be considered anything more than "Power Layups."
Why would someone call the WNBA Boring?: Because the NBA is the standard. It's that simple. It's hard for many to not look at any form of Pro Basketball and not want to compare it to the NBA. It isn't even just the WNBA. It is Euro Basket, it's the Big 3, G-League, TBT, Local Pro Ams. If you have the word "PROFESSIONAL" in your description, it is hard for anyone to not think of how it ISN'T the NBA.
The same with any other product that is so dominant in a certain field.
But specifically with the WNBA, the lack of athleticism displayed (compared to the NBA) is essentially what makes people not want to spend their time watching it.

I noticed nobody answered your question. (Didn't expect them to since that means they had to acknowledge the differences)
I am wondering if "sexist" is the right word to use here. I don't know.
I just don't understand how we got to a point in time where simply acknowledging biological differences between male/female is shunned but again, we are in that "over-correcting" stage in time where we have swung so far in the opposite direction that many conversations no longer seem genuine.

I actually find women’s NCAA basketball entertaining. Well during tournament time at least. You have to accept the fact its a different game. You appreciate good cuts to the basket and swinging the ball for a 3

We used to scrimmage the Lynx all the time, (WNBA Champs at the time) Wasn't even close. We were def an above average team though. But yeah. Haven't watched a WNBA game since.

I find it interesting that a lot of ppl think the suggestion of lowering the rim is “sexist” but the fact they play with a smaller ball isn’t.
