Uber Driver killed by 13 and 15 yr old in DC

Folks have no business having children if they can't or won't be held accountable for their children's health and welfare.

I see no issue with holding parents responsible for their kids being out in the street committing crimes, missing school, or causing a menace in the neighborhood in general.

If I was a parent in that situation I'd drop my kid off at the precinct personally.

I wouldn't lose a drop of sleep over it either.

I think any comparisons made to Crumbley’s parents are poor considering the circumstances.

Crumbley’s parents knew he was disturbed, neglected to seek help from a mental health professional, and bought him the gun that he used for the shooting. Clear case of negligence and terrible decision making on their end. They absolutely deserved to be prosecuted because they refused to address the multiple red flags and actively gave him the means to commit the shooting.

Another “popular” youngin died in that Trinidad shooting last night. They trying to emulate Chicago drill out here

From what I've read, 100% agreed with this take.
At every step of the way leading up to the shooting, the parents failed to take any prevention measures.
If it was just that, I don't think they'd be prosecuted but giving him the means to commit the shooting makes this a crystal clear case for prosecution. Assuming this doesn't get overturned on appeal at least. With this new application of the involuntary manslaughter statute, someone's bound to take this to a higher court at some point.

In other cases where there isn't such a crystal clear pattern that includes directly giving the offender the means to commit the crime, perhaps other charges could be used to prosecute the parents? Child neglect or something, idk.

Add this ***** to the growing list of other ****** they are VOLUNTARILY signing up for jail. How you rob the EXACT SAME STORE more than once. Hope they toss this ***** up under the jail…….never to return.

Also as discussed in the article above as it relates to the Wizards and Capitals soon leaving DC, crime is the #1 factor that drove Leonsis to get out of Chinatown and I don’t blame him. Nobody wants to take their family down there for an event, too much can and will go wrong.

DC basketball star Andrew Washington, aka 'Sponge,' killed in Prince George's Co. shooting | WJLA

Went to high school with the suspect…smh

I guess it hits home a little because him and I were in the same grade. Didn’t really know him that well. Just knew him from passing and him playing on the basketball team.

Since its Baltimore, he would be let out back to his parents with no charge smh

I red a comment from the video that stated the crime bill 2 years ago made things like this with relaxed punishment for youths.
