A person that sticks to one brand often times bashes other brands.what's a brand loyalty drone?
with the exception of having 3 pairs of Reebok slides throughout 4 years, 1 pair of UA Spine Slides, 4 pairs of UA running shoes at various times since '09 and a pair of UA Micro G Supersonics in 2011, my closet is 100% Nike now. I was previously an Asics guy, cause I ran cross country and track and Nike had crappy running shoes at the time, but my real affinity with the swoosh started in 10th grade when I ID'd a pair of LeBron 9s and I never looked back after that. But the thing that I really hate is all the labels (now dont go calling me some activist or disaffected college student cause I'm not either of those) people place on other people relating to the shoes they wear. Like if you only wear one brand of shoes your a fanboy (*Yes I know about those atrocious Apple fanboys they drive me up the wall*), or if you have say Curry shoes and you know nothing about him or GSW or if you just became a GSW fan and you were just a Spurs fan "thats called a bandwagoner" (I don't like bandwagoners myself because they drive up prices, demand, drive others stir-crazy, and keep the hype train rollin at full speed) but as I said I'm Switzerland neutral/no opinion, I could frankly care less who wins, and I dont think anyone needs to say "Oh you can't wear Currys because you're a bandwagoner". I'm not aware of any law(s) against what you can and can't wear. If there were those laws then I probably would be fine with only 2-3 pairs of Nike Free's for my collection. Just my 2 centsA person that sticks to one brand often times bashes other brands.
are you implying that I'm dumb?!At the end of the day, buy, wear, support whatever you like in life that makes you happy. There's always people that will have negative things to say. Just do you and they do them. Simple but yet so hard of a concept to grasp.
are you implying that I'm dumb?!
aight but what do you think I should do?Nah man not what I'm implying. Never mind we had this conversation. This going nowhere. Cop or drop.
If you like them buy them, if you don't then don't.aight but what do you think I should do?
Since fanboy is a talking point right now, I typically only play basketball in Kobes, but bought the black/yellow Curry 1 and long shot 2. Going to wear one of them for the first time tonight to play pick up, but want to ask which is superior performance-wise?
You have pros and cons for each? Doesn't need to be too in depth or extensive. Just curious more than anything.I like the 1's better than the 2's but most feel the 2's are better.
1. No I don't hate UA and I am a smart person but probably wasn't acting smart at that moment. For 2, Yes I am a lil bit self conscious thank you! I am 19 btw if you wanted to know. True, I am easily influenced by others, but it seems as if these "other people" you are referring to at least where I live in Minneapolis, I don't typically see a ton of people wearing Currys. Maybe a few people here and there, but on my bro's basketball team there is this other kid who has both the Curry 2 Dub Nation colorways (the white ones and the blue ones) and he's THE ONLY person on the team who has Currys whatsoever. But I did go to one of his tournament games in Hastings,MN and EVERYONE I MEAN EVERYONE was wearing either the LeBron 12 low Entourages, The Blue and yellow Curry 2 Dub Nations or the White Dub Nations because Hastings colors were blue and yellow. That particular day I forgot to wear my LeBron 12 low Entourages to "fit in with the hype" but maybe that was a good thing. I ended up wearing my KD7 weathermans instead and that was fine. And NOOO I'm not worried bout them gettin jealous of me switchin, it's probably just my excessive problems with making decisions (indecisiveness) But all the kids around me are wearing Nike Free's, not Currys and thats what got me into the Nike Boat in the first place, thats the hype I caved for. I'm usually someone who resists hype, but if stuff gets hyped up too much then I usually cave. IK Nike don't need nothin from me, but then again it's the indecisiveness and being self-conscious about leaving a brand I've been with for 2-3 years now. And lastly, I do like the shoes enough now to cop them and have just enough room in my closet plus 2 more spots for 2 more pairs of Nike or UA shoes as well. I want now to cop the Curry 1 lows, Curry 1 Highs, and Curry 2s (im sleepin on the Curry 2 lows, they wack). And btw when do the Curry 3s release? Cause I also reserved a spot for them in my closet as well. It can hold up to 15 pairs, I already have 10 pairs now and 3 pairs of LeBron slides as well.Trance - this is a thread appreciating UA - if you are smart you know people in here will tell you to buy the shoe. It is how appreciation threads work. The people who don't like the shoe don't usually come in here.
Second, no, no one called you dumb
Maybe self-conscious? Not sure of your age but you sound young so you are still easily influenced by others. Not that that is bad; you want to wear what is hype right now. I did too. But you owe Nike nothing, NOTHING, and acting like they will get jealous? They already won, they have you mind and soul.
The part that sounds bad is you keep asking "should i, should i". Look at yourself - do you like the shoes? There is your answer.
