This was definitely said. Buddy is the Forrest Gump of Hip Hop.
Y'all are dense af.
Y'all are dense af. Do I really have to defend this guy lol.
If you were around in the 80s deejaying, emceeing, bboying, or throwing up graff... you have the right in 2017, on Twitter, to say you helped build and create hiphop culture. What's so hard to grasp? He obviously went further than that working at some very prominent labels. You think some skinny Korean guy in L.A. could make all these high profile connections by luck? Hiphop wasn't built on a select few rappers, DJ's, or Russell Simmons. The people who deserve the most credit are probably names you never hear of. Yes, Ben embellishes his experiences but that's right in line with what hiphop is about. Every single element of hiphop has a competitive factor. It's always been about being better than someone and bigging yourself up.
Calling my crib and i ain't even give you my number...not to my recollection
Has anyone ever shouted out Ben Barra on a song?
and when celebs are pressed about their relationship with him they never have glowing things to say
i remember like 10 years ago he was outchea talkin reckless about how tight him n NAS were after he had him specially commissioned to make a peice for him yada yada
i wont go into specifics but NAS said he barely knows blood and they got connected thru some ppl etc
FACTS.At the end of the day the true measure of your place in history is how other people speak of you, not how you prop yourself.
Strong. All reality. This is what happens when you let certain people infiltrate your "culture" I'm black, and the commentors or tweeters ain't got no one to blame but themselves. Ironically, I can bet you 80% of these doofuses tweeting support and listen to this modern day, garbage hip hop/rap. They probably don't even appreciate stuff like jazz, blues, Motown era music. I bet they don't give a damn about older rap, either.
These people just want to be apart of something for the sake of an argument. Lames. Screw Ben Baller and his thought processes. He's a nuisance.
The mere fact hes on Twitter trying to claim he created or built anything is whack as ****.
Real pioneers and originators don't have to talk about it.
i seen ben baller at some event last year. everybody was on his ****.
