Thread about Jesus - Questions, Bible Verses and Prayer Requests

They aren't doing it out of kindness.

It's one thing to tell someone who is dying of cancer you will pray for them, but when Christians tell an unbeliever they will pray for them it's passive aggressive arrogance.

:lol

Can the religion buffs explain the similarities between Jesus, Horus, Mithra, Krishna, and Dionsyus? And who existed first?

They got no answers for u my g. Only answer that was given was "mythology" :rolleyes when Christianity itself is mythology

We have the Bible as the primary source (extracted from the Textus Receptus) which gives us the accounts life of Yeshua hamashiach/ Jesus the Messiah.
What are the primary sources for the accounts of Horus, and Osiris?

I'm less familiar with Horus and Osiris but there's plenty of writing on Hercules, Dionsyus, and Krishna

Oh and can anyone explain the extreme similarities of Jesus and the Buddha

I don't know why kids are baptized if they can't make their own decisions. They do not know from right or wrong. Matthew 19:14

Here some fun facts. Jesus wan't born on December 25th.

Jesus did not Ascend to Heaven on "Easter" either.

Can you answer why people still celebrate it then? Let the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as theseLet the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these
Just as he commanded everyone to be nice to each other.. "Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.."In Matthew 28:19

The idea in the bible is of original "sin". So Adam (sinner) committed sins and passed his sinful ways on to baby. Baby must be baptized. Don't matter if baby doesn't know

"Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin my mother conceived me."

"So then as through one transgression there resulted condemnation to all men, even so through one act of righteousness there resulted justification of life to all men." Romans 5:18

Romans decided to do Christmas in December, and whether or not Jesus was born on December 25th, the goal is still to turn the eyes of all men upon the true Creator and Christ of Christmas.  Don't matter if it's the 3rd of October or December 25th, not the point.

I really don't think OP was ready for all of this. :lol

anyways, I've been reading this thread since it was created, every post, & i can appreciate what everyone is saying. it's dope to see people having different views and ideas. but when the name calling and attacks come, that's a little f'ed up.

If God is all knowing, why would he create Damien knowing damn well he would eventually turn heel against him at some point down the line?

Serious question
Why did he let Jesus die? why doesn't he stop rapists? wars? If he is all knowing why doesn't he warn us about natural disasters and save the believers?

That's the point. He isn't doing stuff just cause he can. "Let me mess with this... cause I can"

I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.

Revelation 2:9
Whats this all about?

Well if yall don't believe God, "Just messes with stuff" what is the point of praying to him before tests, sporting events, and any other time someone believes they need divine intervention?

Ya believe in satan? Evil?

One of the things that rack my brain. Yes, I believe Satan exist. As a force acting upon us ( like gravity, but not) pulling us away from God and his commands. Only to destroy. I
used to subscribe to the idea that it was God v. Satan for the world, that he was on Gods level sorta. But after alot of in depth study of the word, what I found was pretty scary.........

The parallels are spurious when actually examined....

He's speaking as if the Jesus story was said to parallel Egyptian mythology step for step when that's not the case at all. He completely lost me when he said

"Do u really think Jewish 1st century writers are hearing this Horus tale and saying "that's what we need in our gospel"".

Face palm city. If he knew ANYTHING about freemasonic Jewish mysticism, he wouldn't have said that. This video proves nothing if you're at all versed on the subject.

If your praying just when you need things, you're doing it wrong.

No! The point made was, "Why do you think God sits around just to "mess" with things." I asked, if that is what YALL believe, then why do yall pray asking for help for specific situations. Not saying that someone ONLY prays when they need help.

 “Do not be anxious over anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication along with thanksgiving let your petitions be made known to God;
A primary requirement is that we exercise faith. (Mark 11:24)

he may answer our prayer regarding a particular trial, not by removing the difficulty, but by giving us the strength to endure it.—Philippians 4:13.

Q: Are human beings inherently good or evil by nature?

A: human beings are neither. They're programmable ie product of the environment from which you were raised in. Religion = program based in fear and violence.

If ya believe in satan, I don't see how you can't believe in a higher being then :lol
