If the allegations are true, and if the way things look on the surface are indeed the way things are, then it's flat out disgusting what has happened within that ownership group.

Right now it's really looking like Kevin Nagel, the guy who bought into Sacramento in 2014 and holds a controlling interest, pimped the club and it's fans.
Dude basically skull ****** the club's founders and all the other original stakeholders in order to secure the stadium deal in Sacramento, and maneuver into a position to present a solid MLS expansion bid.
In the last 24 hours Nagel and by extension the Sacramento MLS expansion bid have disassociated with Sacramento Republic FC. The club itself is NOT a part of the Sacramento expansion bid that was submitted to meet today's deadline.
As if the optics couldn't possibly get worse, he essentially replaced the club's founders with Meg Whitman and ******* Jed York. Some suspect stuff on politics side too with former mayor Kevin Johnson.
Expansion bid has been submitted, $226 stadium deal pushed through a while ago, and now all of a sudden Sacramento Republic FC is left out in the cold with absolutely nothing in the eleventh hour.

God damb that's ****** up. I only hope the MLS and Garber realize how ****** of a situation this would create if they approve it. Only reason people were excited was because of Sac Republic being the apparent MLS club.

I guess we could wait for it to play out to see if it's really a full on screw job on the club and original owners but right now with the flaming piece Deadspin put out, it looks about as bad as possible.
Too add, it seems as if MLS/Don Garber were actually the ones who pushed Kevin Nagle and his big $ ownership group to the forefront and to submit as just a Sacramento MLS bid rather than an SRFC bid... hopefully some light is shined on what's really going on, I texted my buddy who works for them about it and no response.... he always responds so this may be a bad sign
to be fair, I'm sure MLS in Sac will still be a success but the die hard Republic fans we have in town are going to hold this against the MLS for a long, long time. They already have that typical supporters club vs the club/league/MLS/$/establishment/everything angst that many of us see in local supporters/snobs

I wonder how Arsenal fans in here feel about Wenger. If I was an Arsenal supporter then I'd want him out. Allegri would be great for the club. A no nonsense manager who can handle egos even though his tactics can be annoying at times.
