@An Armada agreeing with you on a previous point in which I think ManC fans should be contempt with what they did seeing as this is Pep's first season in. I forget that part. I think they'll also better at a 4-2-3-1 but the four attackers offense today didn't work when they're going against the leading goal scoring club of the top 5 leagues right now when these whippersnappers are all under the age of 24

No your tailoring the argument. You said we don't produce anything. I show you that I fact we produce more premier league level talent than any other club (albeit last season) .. if anyone is redirecting its you.. you trying to discredit our academy now with that none sense about anyone off the street.. even you don't believe that and you know it

Which is why I crossed off everything else except the street portion. Details...pay attention to the details.

We've produced youth talent who's shown promise, but they haven't established themselves for me to call them up so I don't count them, but y'all call for wastmen Robbie Bradley and Craig Carhart to help with your argument, but we can then call for Raheem Sterling. If I recall correctly, we had some of your very United Compatriots in here praising Raheem the Dream. He's better than plenty that have come from your academy in recent years.

With that said that stat about Wes Morgan being the first Jamaican to score in Champions league is wrong. Raheem was actually the first

I get what you're saying but a 4-2-3-1 would be Yaya and Fernandinho and Silva or KDB would have had to see the bench which in a game where we absolutely need a goal to be safe I wouldn't want that. The 5 attackers came through in the first game against Monaco but that was just the first game and a tie is won over two legs

Armada Armada I don't doubt that it has worked for you guys in some matches this year. But you have a 2 goal lead and you're playing away against a deadly attack. Five attackers is not the way to go in that scenario. Pablo, Delph or Toure should've started with Fernandinho. Wouldn't be surprised if Pep goes out and buys N'zonzi this summer.

Please re-read my post. Sheyi Ojo, Trent Alexander Arnold, Suso, Ben Woodburn all young promising talent who still need time to make a name for themselves, but have shown promise. Even with Sterling playing for someone else, he's still a former youth player. In fact, the whole base of your argument is about former United players so you don't even make sense.

I get what your saying I just think if we started one of those guys it would have been worse. Monaco's young team was already running circles around us in that first half and it would have been worse with Yaya out there as well and his lack of pace (although he could have made up for it controlling the ball a little better which we needed), I think Delph would have been out of his depth against this opposition in the CL. Pablo in the midfield could have worked but im unsure how well it would have worked against this opposition in this scenario.

I'd love to have N'zonzi in sky blue. He is such a calming presence in midfield who stays deep and spreads it around nicely would fill in perfectly into that Yaya/Fernandinho role

I have to go back and reread cuz you keep editing your posts.

pogba > kante

we would all be talking about how good pogba is if he was playing for chelsea right now.
hes just not surrounded by a good team.
and mou is just not a good manager for pogba's style.

He should have came to the bridge, but I'll take Kante all day.

If Pogba had Kante next to him to protect his *** at all times he could do everything people expect him to.

But then, he'd steal all Kante's shine.

But those 2 next to each other, with a Fabregas or Mata to create would be fun to watch

We saw it last summer at the Euros, he didn't steal any shine

Pogba is a an overpriced fraud

Pep Fraudiola is Pep Fraudiola

Coutinho is still the best attacking midfielder in the EPL

/discussion

Can y'all go a damb day without arguing over United? They aren't worth so much repetitive discussion, they're not even a Champions League squad ffs.

Maybe on game day we can lulz at their futile attempts to move up, but **** it's turning into the NBA thread in here with the same cold takes all the time.

This was the point I was making the other day about France going forward. Those two are perfect MF companions.

Didn't get to watch either of the games today but just watched the highlights and caught up on the thread. Monaco's pace is crazy. And that final goal was such a perfect ball from Lemar. The United part of me hopes Sane hits a sophomore slump like next year like Martial has but dude is a force going forward in his career.

As far as the KDB discussion, he hasn't racked up the numbers but still is a magician in spreading the ball, especially the long balls. You won't ever catch me in a City shirt based on the principle, but if KDB was on another (non-English) team I'd gladly rock his kit. From the missed chances I saw, Aguero deserves a little heat today.

Also funny reading people predicting these attacking players like Mbappe going to City, y'all already forgot about your Aguero-replacement Jesus?!

^exactly Mbappe is great but he shouldn't be a priority for city.

Mendy on the other hand....
