Thinking of getting my CDL

So pretty much thinking real hard bout getting my CDL , so i can either go long distance or just drive locally.
Pros in my mind are

Money

Future own business 

Can move to any state and drive locally once i get experience such as Miami,chi town, NYC. im texas btw.

what yall think ?

Making 50K a year, and not having to go to college or deal with the BS that goes on in corporate america isn't that bad of a deal

^ you can make way more than 50 k a year if you hustle and play your cards right.

Starting pay driving locally is about 20 bucks a pop .

not a bad deal.

you can do a lot of things with it. if you could get a job with your city, the benefits are great and you could just chill in a truck and deliver asphalt or something to a job site. you should definitely do it

if it matters i use to drive for fed ex back in my younger years

ill never do driving gigs again

ive done landscaping, fed ex, even VENDING (the worse)

there is money in driving but you EARN it.

the work schedules usually suck, i couldnt see doing it long term for me at least.

u increase the odds of ending your life in a car crash 10 fold

its not worth 50k dudes

going on route for pepsi, furniture co. w/e you do

driving sucks, you think its good money but its really not, if its for short term go head but id never do it as a career

most jobs are gonna be 12-14 hr days easy

im cool with this dude who is a Sysco driver.........

like many gigs, you gotta load up do 100 stops against time/traffic/customer interaction/
get back up unload, do w/e paper work etc

it sucks

o yea a lot of companies put GPS trackers in the trucks now too.
