bruh...
No...
That's not just outside coming south...
That's going EVERYWHERE when you're different.
My disconnect is where it seems like you go south and you're coming up.
When I've went east and west and chicks diggin the twang.
"I like how you say down" is what I get a lot.
Houston's down = dine
It is and I won't deny that. What's different stands out, that's just how it is. However for whatever reason being from New York or to a lesser extent LA gets some of these broads interested off the strength of that much higher then some random dude visiting their area from Cleveland, Detroit, Boston, Minneapolis etc. but again its what you do with it. If your constantly like "yo ma, I'm from New York, this spots wack, the spot we got on 125th is better" you come across as cornball. But if your on some laid back stuff and they realize your from New York, its usually a good conversation starter
I know its alot of cats in Dallas that claim their from LA when they really live in the valley or the inland empire and those dumb broads eat that up and believe it. Last time I was in Dallas I was with my homegirl and her friend and the dude she brought. He kept bragging he was from LA, I told him "oh word, that's cool, I live in west LA, where did you used to live at". Dude meekly said Santa Barbra (which is like an hour and a half away) and had this sad look like I made him look bad.
On a side note. I never knew it was different Texas accents and that Houston got their own distinctive accent. I gotta check that city out later this year.
