How can you guys sit here and say that if Derrick Rose doesn't win 4-5 championships with the squad he has that he isn't making a better case for being a better player than LeBron James, hence, closer in overall ranking to Michael Jordan?Originally Posted by scoop99

And even that was based on a questionably call. The cavs without lebron was the biggest dropoff in sports history, in HISTORY. Name any team in any sport that has essentially lost one player and went to leagues best to one of the worst outputs in history. hell when brady went down the team still had a decent season, vick left and the falcons were relevant, so on and so forth. Ppl forget how invaulable scottie p and the supporting cast the bulls had with the success the bulls have. There can be alot of things said about the whole lebron/mj/kobe but out of the 3 none had the responsibility of carrying a team/depending on one player the way the cavs did lebron. And the dropoff of team success proves it.

You really need to get your facts straight. The Bulls lost in the semi-finals, not the ECF. Also the Bulls were 3 time defending champions and had their core in tact, minus MJ. 1994 also was the first year Toni Kukoc joined the team and if you followed basketball in that era you knew it was a major move for the Bulls. If anything Lebrons departure is more of a testament of how weak the East is and how dilluted the overall talent is when you can lead a team of medicore players at best to the best record.
