surprised no one mentions how no one watches TV anymore. There are so many ways to watch the NBA that that has to account for a sizable portion of the ratings decline
i also think that the laker fan base was already intact, so LBJ going to LAL only hurts the nba from this perspective as half of the country was lost when he moved to LA

The best pods imo are the team specific ones. The National ones generally have no clue what they're talking about and are not remotely educational nor entertaining
