It's a regularly talked about thing. There was a presentation about it at the Sloan conference last year too.Is there a blog or podcast that came up with this no charge talk? Why do yall keep saying this? Sounds silly to me
I said this back when the flopping calls and fines were en vogue too. The root of that problem was the charging foul on the first place. The charging foul encourages flopping to a degree and incentivizes a guy throwing himself to the ground.
Should offensive fouls be removed from the game? Absolutely not. Should the idea of drawing a charge in that manner be removed because not only is it dangerous it has a large window of opportunity for gaming the system? I think so.
