It's definitely this more than anything. We grew up being taught that dudes who stood on the perimeter and launched 3s were "soft". The "tough" players were attacking the basket. He definitely shattered conventional norms of what a star played like in the NBA. There's absolutely no denying that.
 
Ja Morant, In between game and ability to come off screens in P&R is impressive for a rookie PG.
