I'm an about to be 30 year old Lakers fan that grew up in the bay, friends have been reaching out to me like I lost a family member.
I haven't been able to do anything today, I've just been sitting here trying to process this.
Dude was my idol since I was 6.

It's a tough one to process, man. I've never been this rattled from the passing of someone I didn't know personally. Genuine panic, nausea and denial when I heard.

Just watching basketball took me out of some dark places in the mid 2000's and Kobe was instrumental in that.

Can't imagine how difficult it is for you guys who grew up watching him every other night.
