Also I haven't checked today but I believe the last full season Carmelo ever played he averaged something like 13 ppg on 12 shots. No reason to think he'll reasonably better than that two years later

My hope for Melo is that he plays well enough to get through the season and have it end in a way he can be comfortable with, but also realize he’s basically washed and should retire after the season ends.

I don’t know whether it’s a gift or curse that Melo is forever linked to LeBron. I cannot think of any other reason for him to be viewed in THIS kind of light.

You’d think this was MJ coming out of retirement or some ****.

Can’t discount the loud barbershop contingent that believes Melo was blackballed for being too “real, like AI”. And them Complexly resenting Any and all simple “analytics” by linking that with white dudes who never played ball as “nerds”, as the reason guys like Melo and them iso volume scorers who don’t defend or rebound are out the league.

Like 70% of fans think Jamal Crawford should be in the league. Same guys that thought Joe Johnson could help a roster after the BIG 3, believe Melo “deserves” a spot and farewell tour .

I’m just glad Melo hopefully goes out on his own terms, and has some throwback games here and there...and stays on the court.
