The Walking Dead - Official Thread

My guy...this show is essentially starting right after Ricky got capped in the first EP. The time he was spent in the coma, the outbreak happened nation/worldwide.

Therefore, the show is beginning maybe a few weeks before season 1 TWD really started going :lol

how you know it spread that fast?

It's speculation but based on what has happened in the TWD, everything spread pretty fast man.

If an outbreak happened in LA, there's no way months could pass before it reached Atlanta without them knowing. Remember that in TWD, they spent season 1 trying to understand what had happened.

Man I didn't even realize it was that guy.

Seems like a decent show. This show still won't reveal how it actually happened right? Since they didn't know anything even in the Walking Dead which is like 10 years later.
10 years? LOLWUT?

I thought this was suppose to be like way before everything in The Walking Dead.

So theoretically the two groups can cross paths without it being a weird large time gap.

Logistically, "way before" would make little sense.

Especially as it was established by the creators that the two shows do not exist exclusive of each other.

Figured id give the pilot a shot....pleasantly surprised by FTWD. I enjoyef it.

I like that they show how LA feels busy and restrictive with all the people and buildings in comparison to the wide open spaces of the original show. I think I heard in an interview that they would show patient zero for the virus.

That actor that plays the step dad is always playing a Mexican even though he's from New Zealand.

Some comments in here , opinion or not, are just dumb :lol

Bruh. I'm saying. :{

People must be doing everything else besides paying attention to what they're watching. And how is TWD not worthy of a spin-off due to low viewership? Huh?

Watched it last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. Love seeing a west coast twist on the original concept, well LA twist actually. :lol

:lol @ Hillside Trece
:rollin @ he got out and is gangbanging them books

I thought this was going to be about the aftermath of the apocalypse, was a bit dissappointed to find out it was TWD: West coast, but Im going to give it more time.

Im banking on the junkie to survive a few seasons. :lol

Only if they time hop in FTWD and age their characters a bit, TWD is going on its 6th season and we've seen Carllllllllll go from a 7 year old to what looks like a 17 year old....he's aged and so has everyone else....so only way the two groups would connect is by jumping ahead in FTWD and I don't see that happening any time soon and unless FTWD has some success.

He's aged, but that is more the actor in real life aging, not 5-6 years passing in the show's timeline. Time skips or time passing isn't really that much of an issue so much as the fact that they are on opposite sides of the country.

Either way. I doubt we will see a crossover anytime soon, if at all.

he'll play big joker, little joker, che guevara, qhaddafi, obama, tonto, etc. straight chameleon status

once my man hits up the homies from Hillside Trece, its finna be a wrap.

2.5 yrs later max. last season writers said just 18 months had passed since episode one.

Ahh so is Cliff Curtis a Kiwi? I was suprised he had an accent when I was watching a behind the scenes clip of that gang show on Fox lol.

I don't think the show will cross over. TWD traveled farther east to VA and I think it would be tought to travel across country, during an apocalypse.

The show is a good starting point to understand when the walkers began to appear. The kid with the knife, mentioned that other attacks have been happening all over the world.

^^Interesting time frame.

Lmaooooo Carl isn't aging very well then....poor kid is 10 looking 18 :lol

exactly, some of the stuff they're doing and saying is impractical. judith is easy because they just keep switching the kids out. carl grown af though. son gon be looking to get some yams from that quiet girl soon.

Its roughly 2 months after the outbreak starts when Rick wakes up. So this is somewhere in middle of TWD S1E1, between when Rick is shoot and goes into coma, and when he wakes up.

I heard the writers for the show won't plan to show how it really happened

Ahh okay. I understand it now.

I hope they don't explain how the walkers became to be.

I don't think that was ever the premise, they didn't even really touch it in Season 1 when they made it to the CDC.

This is more about how society crumbled, it takes time to study a virus and find possilbe vaccines. Looks like they are going to play the "there wasn't enough time to do research due to the fall of modern civilization". I'm ok with that.

The kid with the knife, gave some nuggets, but was blown off as wearing a tin foil hat. What he read on the internet was "far fetched". It's realistic, that's what will happen if this played out in real life.
