I'll say this for all you non-comic readers who hate the spoilers but are tempted to click.
From what I've seen of this season so far, mixed with reading the most recent spoiler, it's like this.
They're pushing the envelope in order to keep in line with some of the more "shocking" things done in the comics. Remember how people who read the comics were complaining that the TV show ruined the Governor, by making him stupid, TV friendly, etc...?
Well they're going in the opposite direction now it seems. Should make for good TV IMO.
