who do you root for: the team with one of your favorite players or the team you like better (but also has the player you hate the most in the entire world)?
I'm a Barca fan so Messi is one of my favorite players
But being part Portugese, I obviously like the Portugese team better than Argentina...but I HATE Ronaldo with a passion. I know it's wrong but I didn't mind them losing today since Ronaldo is the only one who scored
Kind of a win/lose situation for me I guess

My friend is from Barcelona and she said that many people didn't give a @#$% about Spain in the World Cup since they want to be their own separate country

She is right on the money with the "Catalan" wanting to be their own separate country. But trust me they did care about Spain winning.
When you're bored read up/wiki on the Catalan people of Spain. Also a good bit of info is that Barcelona style of soccer tiki-taka was brought to them by Holland player Johan Cruyff.
