I hope Salah overtakes Willian in the line up anyways. I know he works hard, but I have never really liked his contribution offensively. Salah brings some speed though.

Jose doesn't care about what his wingers do offensively, he wants them to defend. Hence Mata being sold.

That's true. But as a fan, I care what our wingers do offensively especially since our strikers aren't exactly dynamic. Salah brings more offensively to the table than Willian, and I hope he is given the opportunity to show it.

Come back Mata :(

Selling world class players, replacing them with squad players. The Chelsea way.

Didn't think we had a real shot at the title anyway, but this just confirms it.

Funny how Mourinho has always been praised for his man management skills and now 2 of our best players are gone in one window because of it. :{

We didn't sell our 2 best players. If Mata was playing better then Oscar, he would have gotten more playing time on not be sitting in the bench. The Salah buy was a good one, he wont start many games but is need down the stretch and incase of injuries. KDB n Mata were both great buisness for chelsea. They stand to profit 25million pounds on those 2 transfers. With FFP coming into effect, this is money they can use to get a world class striker. With the amount of young talent chelsea have in midfield, i am not upset at losing KDB or Mata. Since we dont play United again this season, i hope Mata helps them beat City n Arsenal

Nah we sold our single best player. Oscar is not as creative or as precise as Mata going forward. Oscar tracks back defensively, which is the main reason he started over Mata.

Although he brought a ton of trophies, Laporta was shady too. The worst being he under reported the club debt by a massive amount. The board then hires Rosell who I never felt comfortable with. He reminded me of Sosa from Scarface.

I hope Barca uses this opportunity to clean house & get things back on track. A lot of members & socios weren't happy but most weren't saying anything publicly. I still don't understand how they planned on paying for renovating Camp Nou. The economics of what needed to be done didn't work out right to me given the club debt.

Care to elaborate?

Side deals with his father and company, majority of the transfer fee has gone to the family. Apparently, it could be worth more then Bale's transfer fee since Neymar & Neymar company are reaching over 100 million in the next few years.

There are other Hazard brothers too, family seems to have the gift.

They were destined for pro footie....

"Hazard was born in La Louvière and grew up in Braine-le-Comte. His mother, Carine, and father, were both footballers. After playing football, both parents became sports teachers. Hazard is the eldest of four children. He has three brothers, all of whom play football, including Thorgan, who joined him at Chelsea in 2012 and had previously progressed through the youth ranks of Lille's biggest rivals Lens.

The family lived "no more than three meters" from a football training ground and the brothers often ventured onto a training pitch through a small hole in order to hone and develop their skills."

Thanks Lucho. I FF through & stopped to watch bits of the first half just because I had to.

Barca didn't look too good, but that second half? Wow. For someone who hasn't played much, Tello looked impressive. Making those runs & connecting with Messi like he did was beautiful.

I was impressed with Messi too. Levante's CBs were shutting him down so he kinda dropped back & concentrated on getting everyone else involved. Ended up working with Tello getting 3 assists.

Sad to see Puyol get hurt. Hope he's ok. First game Ive seen Sergi Roberto struggle a bit.

The first half was tough to watch. I was impressed with the second half. Tello did very well at being an outlet for Messi. I was impressed most at Messi and his involvement with others in the second half. If he continues it, i don't see how anyone can guard him. Give him space, and he will do his thing. Track him back, and he will put everyone else in a scoring position. Things could get interesting this second half of the season.

I read it somewhere, and I didn't realize it until I saw a few games, but there is something about Messi that's different now coming off that injury. Like he's a bit more calm.

That's a damn shame about Falcao.

Oh wow, Rosell has resigned at Barça!!

This Neymar scandals holds weight then, no way he'd leave if it wasn't true. I can't believe Neymar and his family got 50 million plus euros just to go to Barca! Now the public must need more details. Shady, Shady business going down in the Catalan capital.

Ibis what are you *****ing about? Salah is a great talent, it's a great signing. You're way too in live with Mata.

Rosell resigning doesn't mean there was iffy stuff going on though. It could be other factors. He's made some bad decisions during his time so it could have been a culmination of things. But I agree, we will need more info from them soon.

I just hope Barca uses this opportunity to clean house. Celebrating "mes que un club" is inappropriate if you allow presidents like Laporta & then Rosell both of whom have proven to be unethical. Trophies or not.

Man, some of you guys need some levity in your lives... This is only football, not life or death... :rolleyes

So Wilfred is getting loaned to Cardiff? I wonder if he's taking Lauren with him? :D

Edit - Transfer rumors being what they are, the latest for United is swapping Chica for Inter's Fredy Guarin. :rolleyes

Those other factors didn't lead him to resign, this Neymar situation did. That's big, he's basically admitting he's guilty.

I don't quite understand tho, what if Barca did pay 95 million euros, what the issue here? Is it taxes? Is it the board who was kept in the dark? Can there be any ramifications?

BREAKING: Manchester United will offer Shinji Kagawa to Dortmund for Gündoğan plus cash when the Mata deal is completed. [ESPN]

Zaha got to be an NTer....tech fleece....Bordeaux 7s....hope he finally gets some burn wherever he goes.

Can anyone explain the neymar stuff. So they lied and paid more for him then what was reported? What are the ramifications for this?

Waiting for a Tom Ince move to a bigger club. Quietly having a solid campaign for Blackpool. Thought he might leave for Spurs in the previous Summer window.

The short version is they got around paying more money to whoever had third party ownership & Santos while also lining the pockets of Neymar & his father. This was probably agreed to sometime ago since Rosell has deep connections in Brazil when he worked for Nike there. If proven true, this also has tax implications in both countries.

Also, I think it makes Neymar the highest paid player at Barca if the figures I saw were correct.

I love Shinji, but that's a lop sided trade... Has Gundogan come back from injury yet?

To add to that, some of the sponsors that bought image rights for Neymar are complaining that they have received little of the so called 57 million  euros that was paid. Barca socios i believe are the ones that want the answers the most. Rosell said that he couldn't say more because of clauses in the contract, thus, the high court is wanting to look into it.

All in all, if everything that is reported is true, the total fee would be 125 million euros. I don't see Messi being happy about not being the highest paid player at Barca as well.

lets throw in chicha for good measure.. funny thing is i was talking to my boy about makin such a transaction.. would it benefit dortmund with mkhitaryan currently playing that 10 role..

Gundogan isn't injured anymore, but he also isn't starting.

Would hate for Chicha to leave, but with Moyes there, I can see it happening.

Just read that the dude that injured Falcao (well, the entire team) was from France's Third Division :x Why was he even on the pitch, specially winning 3-0... :{

And, Rossell :x
