The titanic vol. lost

Here comes the damage control storm2006 storm2006

Have to beat the allegations, man. And this illustrates exactly how Rush got away with it- he was falsely trading on Boeing and UDub’s name. Disgusting :smh:

I feel bad for the 18 yo. The rest had a grasp of the risks that they were facing. RIP nonetheless.

Only thing about to rise to the surface is random debris and all the dirt he’s been able to keep while he was pulling this scam tour.

Seems like they informed the Coast Guard of what they knew, but there still had to be a search at a minimum to confirm

I dunno what people expect the Navy to do.

“The U.S. Navy conducted an analysis of acoustic data and detected an anomaly consistent with an implosion or explosion in the general vicinity of where the Titan submersible was operating when communications were lost,” a senior U.S. Navy official told The Wall Street Journal in a statement. “While not definitive, this information was immediately shared with the Incident Commander to assist with the ongoing search and rescue mission.”
Seems like who needed to get the information got it rather quickly 🤷🏿‍♂️

So this whole last 4 days has been to find the wreckage. They already knew it was a wrap. Gave these families false hope.
Well yeah it's a Top Secret program, a handful of folks dying in an unfortunate tragedy is hardly a reason for a country to publicize their secret advanced detection systems.
The information was reportedly shared with the right people either way. Someone in the US Navy felt differently obviously and leaked all this to the WSJ, which then forced the Senior US Navy Official to provide that statement acknowledging the detection.

I don't think there's really a good answer as to what should've been done. Personally I'd argue in favor of protecting national security, since I assumed from the start that their deaths were practically a guarantee. Hope in a situation like this seemed borderline delusional to me, though understandable of course.

it's not like if you no anything about the US navy you haven't heard about the listening devices all over the world in the ocean for things like this (detecting subs). And especially down the east coast of Canada and the US. There's been documentaries about it as far back as the 60s. The top serect part is more about where they are exactly.
