The Timepiece Thread vol: READ THE 1st POST!!!

i think I’m more leaning to the Pepsi .. tried on a panda the other day at lunch and loved it - I think it I went Daytona it would have to be the panda

cant argue with that, the panda is the better of the two and sounds like you have a good AD so you'll likely get it too

but if your SA wants to make a double sale, i am one DM away... hell im looking to get another cartier and if they carried that, your SA might be able to sell 3 watches in one go

if you didnt have the speedy, i'd say daytona. based on your current rotation, upgrading the tudor to a rolex is an easy choice.

baby g nautilus

i had to double check to make sure it wasnt april 1st

My AD offered me either a Pepsi on jubilee or black dial Daytona. My current rotation is a speedy/ Starbucks and Tudor Pepsi. I would sell the Tudor Pepsi for sure if I pick the Rolex. What do you guys think ? I can’t make my mind up on which one, I love both.

This should come down to whether you prefer the oyster case or maxi case.

Like RFX, I have smaller wrists so my Hulk and GMT rarely see any wrist time.

By contrast, I wear one Daytonas nearly every day.

Aesthetically, I think the Pepsi is the prettier watch but for me personally it would just be a glorified paperweight.

YMMV.

really digging this watch and im not even a huge diamond guy

loving the bracelet too

the price tag being around $3800 isnt too bad but man the tariffs just making me do a double take with ordering most of these watches

Picked up the Pelagos fxd chrono cycling red/black.. figured I’d jump ahead of whatever comes with tariffs

f'n crazy, really scary out there

my AD doesnt put my watch purchases in the brands bag anymore, just a plain and blank paper bag

and i get super paranoid too, when i pick something up, kind of good thing i have to go through a freeway and i always look back if a familiar car is following just because you'll never know

if i sense anything, id drive by the police station which is on the way home too, glad it hasnt resorted to that

but everyone, please be careful out there

that's a horrific experience, but you have to be a little more vigilant. if i'm out and about with my family, i'm not trying to attract any attention to us whatsoever. i am in no way victim blaming, but someone will notice you walking around in a tshirt and rolex in LA. it definitely sucks that we can't even enjoy the fruits of our labor/passions without having to look over our shoulder, but safety is paramount.

Seems to be the norm now. A player on the jets was followed home in a town nearby after a night out in Manhattan and robbed.

Same here. My AD has extra bags from different stores that they put watch purchases in. It makes sense since the location is inside of a mall and there's a lot of foot traffic there.

Unmarked bags from the 2 ADs I’ve used somewhat recently. One will have security walk you to your car if you ask.

I’m in the market for a
watch that’s <$500. What would y’all recommend, something that can be worn casually and formally.

If you want a reliable piece that you don't have to baby too much I'd suggest the Seiko SKX range. They come in at a range of price points too

If you wanted something swiss you could go with a quartz or used Tissot PRX which is a nice piece you can wear everyday.

But if you wanted something a little less common the Citizen Tsuyosa comes in a lot of different sizes and dial variations so you're likely to find something you like. Also if you go for the 37mm it should come significantly under budget.

Much appreciated. The PRX was recommended elsewhere as well.
