Here is the new addition to my collection. They promised me a 15202ST for my next purchase, strangely said they won't take a deposit from me until January 1st. They will only presale watches they know are coming in and won't have access to that until next year--that's probably a good thing.

Is that the only box or did it come with a fancier one?

it definitely came with a fancier box, thats probaly like the rolex coffin(pic below), its how the watches arrives from manufacturers and service and its actually nice when it comes in that, you just knew it was "fresh"

It included the green wooden box, but as rfx45 mentioned, this was the case used for transit. I actually asked if i could keep the coffin case but they told me they recycle them for when a client needs to send a watch to service and such.

Nah. They just come sealed in plastic like Patek and in a plain, well-made brown cardboard box with the corresponding labels. The presentation box is very nice and adequately compact. You get your money's worth with the watch.

In terms of over the top appeal of presentation boxes, Omega still has everyone beat. They just take too much damn storage space. They arrive in plastic coffins as well.

Patek has to have the nicest-quality "standard" presentation box though. Still quite massive. The certificate and booklets make you feel like it's more of a car purchase.

The absolute worst is if you've seen how Seikos come in. The cardboard is thinner than the ones used for boxes of underwear. Grand Seiko is another story (coffin). Nice presentation box with fancy paper. Very Japanese.

its a nice starter dress watch and can be had for a good discount


speaking of nice and clean, this new longines are pretty damn nice but i think $2150 retail is a little steep

Why?

I can hardly tolerate the Sky-Dweller to begin with, and I just think it looks god awful in two-tone. And I say this as someone who wears his two-tone GMT more than all other watches combined.

Just my opinion.
