getting hitched soon and my fiancee gave me an option to choose the watch i wanted. I opted for the rolex gmt master "batman."

it was that or the datejust but 3 of my boys already own that watch and i wanted something different.

Are there any other watches any of yous recommend around that price range?

I'd take that GMT if that's what you already had your mind on.

Or a Daytona (which I believe is just over 10k).

yah, not much alternative to the Batman if it's what you got your eyes set on

The BLNR is a good choice. Another option is the Submariner ref: 114060 (no-date). I know RFX has one, and I *HAD* one (which I miss dearly) and in my opinion it's one of the more beautiful sport watches ever made, due to the symmetry of the watch in the absence of the cyclops/date-wheel.

Taste, however, is subjective, and if you like it go for it!

Not a fan of the color blue at all but the BLNR is beautiful, I like the Hulk as well.

I still think the new Sub with or without the nipple is one of the best watches out there for under 10k..... I am biased though.

I'm looking to get a nice clean watch that i can wear to work on most days. I wan't something high quality but not trying to ball out right now,  Looking to pick something up in the $500 to $2000 range.

Here are 3 that have my eye at the moment. I'm open to suggestions on others and also would like to hear which of the 3 you guys would go with. I know which one i'm leaning towards, but i'm curious to see the opinion of people who know a lot more about watches than i do.

ideally i might pick up 2 of the 3

I don't see the other two watches (pics), just the black Steinhart.

If you don't mind buying slightly used Nelson, I would look at Omega. You can find some great deals on those, especially if you up your budget to about $3k.

A lot of people start out that way and trade there way up to something they really like.

^^^^This is the guy I traded with to get my Coke GMT, he is legit as they come. I'm also not afraid of eBay either because I would just take it straight to my jeweler and let him confirm its authenticity.

I promise both these would look brand new in person and are great deals, plus they come with original boxes and papers so resell or trade would be easy.

Sounds like my situation lol. Not sure I need a watch like this though since I am not in a setting to be wearing watches like this daily. I work with my hands and get blood/saliva/etc on my wrist so IDK if it'd be smart to get the GMT unless it'll increase or stay at it's price in the future.

I got my BLNR new for 8300 out the door, prices have been somewhat dropping on them but not by much. Where are you located? If I could do it all over again, I would've gone with the blue two tone sub, my friend was able to get it for $10.5k out the door from an authorized dealer. It's just a bit more flashy. Reason being is in LA every kid has a replica BLNR on. Just walk around sunset for an hour.

There's talk about them discontinuing the BLNR but I'm not sure.

As for the datejust, my datejust 2 is my everyday watch and I really really love it. Do your friends have DJ2 41mm or the 36mm cause that's a world of difference.

i'm in nyc and the price around here is about ~$500 more than your price just from asking around a couple places. The blue & gold two tone looks a bit too flashy for my taste and i can't help but think it seems like an older men's watch but still a great looking one.

My bro-in-law and friend got the 41DJ2 and the third got the 36. 36 just looks way too small for my wrist size and preference.

Planning to get the DJ2 41 later down the line when i accomplish some goals and definitely before having kids.
