Finally ready to make my move on the Rolex. Torn between Date or no date.

I have two rolexes and it's always the Submariner for me. Date function is a little overrated and I have happily sacrificed it for the aesthetics of a symmetrical dial. It depends what has you conflicted.

Yea I concur about setting the date movement being overrated. I believe I just prefer the cleaner look. I am lucky because I have a great relationship with the Rolex Manager, so don't have to play the waitlist/allocation game.

i love that they finally conceded on the hev as the new smp will likely get rid of that too so omega needs to give us <40mm already with no date

It sucks that some of these brands have had multiple price increases this year. I was looking at the time only VC overseas and it basically costs as much as the dual time did at the beginning of the year.

I’m eyeing the seaweed seamaster on the green rubber strap. No way I’m paying retail for that

got to try on the planet oceans and the upgrades makes it more wearable even the thickness but its still too big for my taste… they are in the right track though, once the new seamaster comes out it will be perfect in anything 40mm or smaller

also went to the new rolex boutique and i just hate interacting with new salespeople, dude was nice and talking and i was like “ok, ill just put my interest on the OP36s” and he was like “ok, that sounds good” but dude didnt take my number or info then i was just talking and dude stops me and says, “im sorry, my appointment is here” and i just dont understand what kind of sales person that is? didnt offer me his business card or anything, just truly terrible

got to try on the whatever color this is but i just came out of that store pissed, just never get respect unless you go in blinged out or with ap/patek or i dont know anymore

PO dial looks fairly greyish? I really like that blue bezel but it’s way too big for me as well.

I’m still waiting on an OP36 as well… was hoping to beat the inevitable price raise come January but ultimately I just need it by April for my wedding.
