Perfection in watch form :Nthat

Great thread.

How much would that IWC run?

Right now my everyday/work/dress watch is MK brown leather strap, silver bezel, and off white face. Love it but I need another watch in rotation. Might grab the MK bootleg looking Rolex gold watch haha

looking for an all purpose watch.   I have about 4-5k to spend.   Whats the recommendations?
Omega or Panerai. You can find pristine second hand ones in that price range (I'm being biased though)

Not my picture, but rockin' the basic, cheap Casio watch and I love it.

Part of the reason I really like leather bands is because I wear my watches like this.

It never looks right with metal bands this way and I don't like wearing my watches the other way.

Why...?

Here's my watch:

1978 Oysterdate Precision 36mm

Its just way more comfortable to me. It doesnt slide all over my wrist and stuff. I can see see the time easily, all I have to do is turn my wrist. People say it also lowers the chance of hitting the face on something and breaking it, but I'm rarely in an enviroment where theres a chance of that happening.

my GMT 16700

my old Breitling Avenger in Titanium (traded it in for the PO)

ex 45.5 PO-my daily til I traded it in for what I have now...

my PAM H series 025-ill own this for awhile til I trade it in for something else..

You have so many options if you are going the used route.

My recommendations would be

-Rolex milgauss if you dont need a date

-Rolex submariner no date  - my pick personally

-Rolex explorer 2

all these can be had for under 5k used. dont get a breitling not worth it. rolex is considered cash in the watch industry because they hold value and sell almost all the time. this is why i would recommend a rolex.
