I miss when TV shows had staying power. Now you get 20 episodes of a show over 7 seasons which are so long in between that everyone forgets what happened. Series finales are usually poorly written because everyone wants to move onto the next show

Atlanta should never host a world event again. City moving like it’s unexpectedly having people over and have to do a quick clean up smh. They’ve been counting down the World Cup at the airport for over 3 years now. Yet, the $70 mil spent on the new Marta trains and system have been delayed. All the work needed on the roads around the downtown area, particularly Mitchell St, just started a couple months back. The city has had years to get ready, yet just started over the last couple of months, and a lot is not complete.

Did you live there in 96?

Yes, but I was 12-13 years old then. The overall convo was the city wasn’t ready, and this was basically Atlanta being put up for sale from what I remember. Went to some events(not the games) at Centennial Park, which was pretty much souvenir central. Just seemed like a huge cash grab looking back.
