Today's my dad's 72nd birthday. Wish I could have spent time with him instead of work, but he looks happy here. He went out with my younger brother, sister, and nephew to lunch.
He's been battling liver cancer the last three years so I don't know how much time we have left but I do love him, it's just hard to express it sometimes I feel as Nigerian men. I'm getting a little emotional typing this but it'll be something I can look back on down the years.
Chemo was going well, but recent news said the the tumor was growing again, so a new drug has to be implemented and the cost was outrageous to say the least. Waiting for insurance to approve and subsidized the price now, so it's still in limbo.
Besides that, I hope he had a great day today.
