That’s a nice story. Thought she was a genius by the title but I’m pretty sure she’s getting some of her prerequisites like art history etc out the way. I did some that in HS. Very impressive nonetheless and she’s way ahead of me when I was her age for sure.
So ridiculous how nypd is using a snowball fight as an excuse to turn on the mayor, although we've seen this before smh. I still haven't heard what the actual injuries were
Pesto is a goat level sandwich condiment. I could eat a grilled chicken on ciabatta with pesto, fresh mozzarella, lettuce, tomato and red onions everyday until the end of time. A splash of red wine vinegar and oil and I’m in heaven. A simple sandwich that bangs every time.
Im a "people leader" at work so went through a training session today about being a fan of people and how to show this through actions.
Someone asked how do you deal with someone you simply dont like and dont want to be a fan of them. And it struck me, cuz like your post, I feel myself falling into the fake nice-itys at work and I hate it. But for the sake of harmony, I know its a necessary evil. So dude answered...said just find the things about that person you do want to encourage and focus only on that. Put blinders to the other stuff. The answer struck me because I feel like I've interacted with people who have done that for me. Fairly certain behind my back they describe me as the dumbest mofo they deal with on a consistent basis, but to my face, have been encouraging and complimentary.
Most of these training sessions im probably only focusing at like a 30 percent level, but today's stood out. More so for how I want to re-engage with my family...my kids. Making sure they know i am indeed their fan, but proving it beyond words. Some of my actions already so that but definitely have more things I can start doing to really drive home the point.
