Just saw the Kid Rock Rock America MAGA tour got cancelled after most of the acts pulled out.
Would you consider that to be celebrities using their voice to bring awareness to a situation?

I find that (action) being different than wanting an obviously immature basketball to make a comment about Ice.
Most of the acts pulling out is making a statement that affects the gate ($) of a tour. Talking with your money is always the biggest stance you can take.
I've never said/implied that celebrities couldn't/shouldn't use their voices to make a stand.
I said Anthony Edwards ain't the one to do it.

I overstated. The tour isnt cancelled. The date in South Carolina was cancelled.

Respect the response. To be clear, I never stated Ant should be the one making a statement, though im sure you had interactions with others that may have gotten specific to that degree.
My call was for NFL and NBA players to not play the games that were scheduled in a boycott. Thats the same as bringing harm to the money the elites make and, imo, is a Shockwave that has to be discussed. Its not the end all/be all for change, but it is a big ripple in the system.

Too many moving parts for that to be a realistic response.
It would be ideal/noble but we know who owners of these pro teams rock with so we can't (realistically) expect that from them.
But sure, if they did it would make a stand but they aren't going to purposely hurt their own pockets.

For sure. For the sake of simplicity, I would expect guys 1-7 to possibly be down without fear of repercussions, but guys 8 - 12 may have some legit trepidation. Again, that is a really simplistic way to speak about it without trying to really dive deep.
The fact that the owners rock with them is all the more reason why it should be considered, imo. Major **** you to those guys. What, gonna fire them? Yeah, ok.
And thats unfortunate. And thats why I get triggered when people who are financially stable put the onus on the ones who aren't making 500K+ a year to do the dishes. **** outta here.
