Went to a street fair the next town over today. Parking on side streets was a disaster, a total case study on how humans are incapable of self-governance.
Saw two hit-and-runs as we were leaving. I was able to get pics of the license plates of the cars that did it. I was able to track down one of the victims and tell him what I saw. I sent him the pic of who did it and flagged down a cop for him so I could give my statement. Cops were thankful for my help, but dude I broke the news to acted like I was the one that ruined his day.
Maybe I’ll just mind my business next time.

My psycho neighbor just couldn't resist huh....
My psychologically vulnerable mom called me this afternoon to tell me to come with her to the backyard to see what our psycho nutjob decided to do. She was furious and immediately needed a benzo to calm her down.
So we go to the backyard, and it turns out this psycho erased or destroyed large parts of my vegetable garden with large treeranches, multiple bricks he removed from our shared wall and then dumped over the wall into my vegetable garden.
No communications or anything. Psycho Neighbor is building something back there, not sure what yet, and then out of nowhere he decided to destroy my vegetable garden by throwing down bricks, treebranches etc over our co-owned wall. My mom's having a lot of stress and she even cried about having to deal with this.
Nah **** that. A loser like that isn't gonna make my mom cry on a sunday and then continue business as usual.
Tomorrow my mom will give the local police another visit, and rest assured they'll be hearing all about the case I originally filed against him for death threats and destruction of property.
I told her it's better that she goes for this because I'm too petty at this point to not sit there with a big grin. She genuinely started crying about the additional stress caused by the nutjob neighbor so a more genuine person will probably play better in the process of filing a complaint.
I'll give her some quick coaching before she goes to the station though. Best believe the cops will be hearing about the incident where one of his dogs ripped their son to shreds and no ambulance or anything was called. Not even the next day, probably to avoid any registration of a serious violent dogbite to a 14 year old son in their own home.
If that psycho neighbor goes low, I'll just drag it down the abyss. I haven't said a word to him since the last time he was yelling death threats in my face. Haven't even seen him since I reported his audio-recorded death threats to the police a while ago. I've always said his wife is fine and if there's anything to discuss, she's always welcome here.
And the psycho's wife has in fact been to my home several times, generally regarding help with misplaced packages. Zero issues there, she was always nice even after I delivered the police transcript to her.
I'll still allow her to come to my door but if I see or hear that nutjob, I'll make sure to stay strapped and keep 2 phones to covertly record with. I can turn off the phone in my hand to manipulate them into thinking I won't be recording this time, but then I simply continue recording from the phone(s) hidden in my pockets.
Whenever he's continuing working on whatever required destroying part of our shared wall and dumping all his mess on my vegetable garden, I'll make sure to do some practice with my alarm pistol in the backyard very close to him. I'll obviously have custom ear protection but that nutjob will have to endure a bit of tinnitus I guess. Unlucky for him.
