Going to my little nephew's High School graduation in a few hours. I remember changing his diaper, making him his bottle, bathing him, seeing him take his first steps. Where did the time go? Felt too quick. I can see now why parents get so emotional at these events.
However, I feel saddened by the news my neighbor just gave us. His son passed away yesterday after being in a coma for 9 months. He caught Covid at work (Costco) and had a heart attack. The machine was the only thing keeping him alive. He's another kid I watched grow up before my eyes, remembering when he could barely climb the stairs to his apartment. I watched him leaving for his H.S. graduation from my window. I'm sad because he was still very young.
