Went to a family BBQ for my dad's side of the family. We haven't been together in 10 years since grandmother passed. Felt good to see them again but the kids I remember are all grown up now. They got make-up, tattoos, drinking beer, cars and college experience. Felt like I was sitting next to complete strangers, lol.

On the plus side, they told me I'm old (44) but I don't look old at all

I have some cousins that I was real close with, the one I was closest to in age died and then the one slightly younger is doing good but then they had a little brother who was born waaaaay late, straight up accident kid

I feel bad I never really got to kick it with him that much, they're from Florida and I'm in mn. their parents went through a crazy divorce so I stopped going down to stay with them when he was like 12 but I was with his sisters all the time growing up. I see him here and there but I don't know him the other cousins. he's also in the military so he's not around much.

I was blazing with him on the beach one day when he was in hs didn't see him forever now he's about to be in med school.

Young family connections I have going so far is a pre-school teacher, track & field advice, discount on food catering and a weed guy. Last one don't work for me since I don't smoke but he's interested in buying my Deadstock Jordans, lol.

I didn't get roasted so I'm grateful they were really nice to me. I didn't want any attention on me while there, just let me observe and eat my food in peace, lol.

appreciate the condolences, it's all good she had a lot of battles she was fighting. we all saw it coming.

he's smart he just didn't know it until he got in the navy, dude did really well in nuke school. they asked him to re enlist he said f no.

they begged him to re enlist and he said fine, only if I can teach the nuke program in Hawaii with a big bonus. so now he's a teacher for the navy and goes to med school at night. he's killing it.
