But I'm going to stick it out and try to catch up because TAN is my favorite thread and it's always got so many funny and dope posts. All African shea butters are not created equal. For my skin, the east African shea butter was too buttery, the west African raw shea butter on the other hand is perfect, it’s thicker and a tiny amount applies evenly and will make your skin glow like crazy. The smell isn’t the greatest but the results are fantastic. I think it’s because it’s unrefined it’s a more organic experience. No shade but for me West Africa has the superior raw shea butter. I’m about to buy out my local spot and freeze the containers since the stuff can end up on backorder for months when it sells out.

Edit: looked it up and Unrefined is better. So definitely no shade to East Africa, I just tried two different products essentially.
