My interview process is all brain games to see how you think

One question I always ask is, “what are the odds a family member of mine is a professional basketball player?”
50/50. Either you do have one or you don't.

It seems like the aspirations that I have for myself will never become a reality and it hurts so bad

It’s like life is telling me “oh you want to be this ?”
“Nah ***** you are going to be this “
And all I want to do is improve my life financially and health
And even though I’m going to continue to thug is out I’m tired |l |l |l |l

What positions are you typically filling? I like this, but can't imagine it'd go over well with the type of talent I interview lol

Service techs and service reps.

Reps is whatever, but we do like our techs to be able to find outside the box solutions so seeing how they think would be great during the interview process. At this point I'm just asking them how they navigate unfamiliar situations where they're expected to find solutions.

Yeah you could try something similar - business cases are generally the way to go but I’ve liked to flip that on its head and make it more interesting/fun game theory esque.

Yeah, I think the complete random nature of the question might turn our applicants off...I can just hear it now..."I don't do math. I do repairs."

But love the idea for sure. Gotta figure out how to make it work for me.

he’s not necessarily wrong given his hypothetical…men are more likely to grit through certain things, that noted i think the prioritizing happiness over duty/responsibility mentality is an overall cultural ethos at this point; i think it just is the case that more women think they can actually execute on it

In the last few months I feel like I get waaaay more spam than I used to in my email. Annoying.

I had to go in and delete some of the addresses I’ve blocked that I get spam from to make room for new ones. Didn’t know Yahoo capped at 1000 addresses you can block.

Easy to fine tune - DMs are open (mind you I’ve only done this for Private Equity/IB/Consulting). Would be fun!
